  1. Correct. It appears to be refundable according to the notations. Did anyone try going to the casino, adding the OBC to a slot machine, then do a cash out? I thought you used to be able to do that. So far no email about the addition OBC either, just showed up.
  2. Just looked at out Cruise Personalizer, trying to prepare for our cruise on the 11th. It seems we got an additional $100 pp Goodwill OBC. I guess for the reduced time in Juneau and the now missed port.
  3. This will be our third Alaska cruise on this itinerary and 5th with Princess. Unfortunately, they have not put their best foot forward with this cruise and I'm sorry this is the experience you got. Princess is so much better. However, we are feeling much the same at this point. Meanwhile, Symphony out of Miami is delayed a day due to the tropical storm. Guests have already been notified they will receive OBC for the missed day, plus a days worth for beverage, internet, or specialty dining packages. If the OBC is not used by the end of the cruise, they will refund as cash. This is a weather related event, out of control of RCCL, and they offered this to the passengers. Haven't heard if other ships are getting the same.
  4. If we had the full itinerary, I might have considered it. Not with this reduced schedule, we are paying too much already.
  5. What is interesting is the link in my reservation confirmation is not working and I'm unable to login. One of the errors is a certificate mismatch. Not real good with the back-end networking stuff. Wonder if their certificate expired or if they changed IP or server names?
  6. I got there with this URL: https://www.maketraveleasier.com/PortValet
  7. From my understanding, the plumbing problems were isolated to the Caribe deck (10?) around mid-ship near the elevators. This wasn't a Princess problem but due to guests flushing items that shouldn't have been (diapers, food waste, paper towels, etc.) Unfortunately, that affected quite a few cabins along that hallway but I think the plumbing issues are fixed. Hopefully, others since the first cruise can confirm.
  8. Just got an Upsell Offer from Princess from our Mini-Suite to a Full-Suite for $699 per person!! Let's do this Alaska drive-by in style
  9. I'm glad you were able to move to an equivalent cruise with no penalty. Unfortunately, some tried to do the same and Princess wanted cancellation fees and other fare adjustments and it was going to be a fairly substantial increase. We made the, probably unwise, decision to stay with Crown early on assuming the issues would decrease by June, not increase. We also have the remainder of our group in multiple cabins flying from different locations. Just trying to coordinate that, along with the additional airfare expense some may not be able to afford, didn't make switching an option. Even a different date is difficult with work schedules, a care-taker for my Mom, etc. We are not interested in a FCC, so we are going to take the cruise, make the best of it, enjoy our family and friends, and maybe make some new CC friends along the way. I've heard the crew is outstanding and you can't beat the scenery.
  10. Those of us on the 05/28 thru 06/18 sailings are receiving no additional compensation whatsoever except for the original $100 Goodwill OBC given to everyone for subbing Icy Strait Point for Ketchikan. Since Princess knows the ship is unable to handle the itinerary, they changed these four sailings with the time in Juneau cut in half and Icy Point removed. Since it's now 'published', I guess we are supposed to be fine with the revised scheduled just because we signed the cruise contract and shouldn't complain. I was going to wait to send a letter until after we returned from the cruise. But, maybe it's better to start now. I hope those of you that did get FCC from your sailings are able to get the cash refunds. That is really only fair. We had part of our group that had to sail early, first time on Princess, and they will not sail the cruise line again. So, the FCC does them no good.
  11. We'll be right there with you, we are in E730.
  12. Today it won't let me into the Health Documentation to check if the vaccine card has been approved. Just spins and stays on the same screen. Quirky little app.
  13. Same here, usually in a JS or above. I'm kinda claustrophobic and that is about the only thing that has me concerned while cruising. Ending up in an interior room with no window, I will go stark raving mad
  14. Just looked at the Cruise Planner and there are still excursions with times available before we arrive, so it has not been updated. We leave for Seattle next Friday (10th).
  15. We have a private tour schedule in Juneau and hoping we arrive in time to take the excursion. However, the email we received from Princess stated that updated excursion information would be available within the next two weeks. The email was received at 2350 on 05/26 and two weeks would be about 06/09. Our cruise date is 06/11 and doesn't leave much time for booking, if even available. I have not looked at the Cruise Planner this week to see if updated excursions are available.
  16. This is happening to me within the website when I am trying to add the second leg of our return trip so the problem is not limited to the app. The same thing was happening to me last week both on the website and the app, it would not save the return trip. I also had issues with the Emergency Contact section. My son was listed as Dependent instead of Child and the entire phone number was in the Country Code field. When I attempted to change, the Save button would never highlight. If I changed data in a different section the Save button was then available, but would never save the data. I finally gave up and it left me in green status anyway. Today, I went to the app to see if the vaccine card had been approved yet and thought I would try to enter the return trip for giggles. To my surprise, it took the information and saved it. Wandered over to the Emergency Contact and my son's phone number was entered correctly. Changed his relationship and was able to Save. Some of the glitches seemed to have worked themselves out. Currently trying to get used to an iPhone.
  17. What movies are playing in-cabin and MUTS? Anyone have a list they can share. Thank you!
  18. The menus are pretty different. One is just hamburgers, hot dogs, and tacos (grill). While the Pub is considered a specialty with more gourmet type dishes. The Lobster Mac & Cheese sounded yummy to me!! Salty Dog Grill Salty Dog Pub
  19. Well shoot, DH was looking forward to the pub food
  20. So happy to read that it's working well. I was wondering if it was really going to be free or if Princess was going to charge the $20pp as it was previously. Either way, still worth it for me, I'm a consummate over-packer.
  21. That is the part that is so annoying to me. Yes, we were sent an email at the end of April with the itinerary change, moving the arrival time in Juneau from 1200 to 1430 and swapping Icy Strait for Ketchikan. Along with a goodwill gesture of $100 OBC. We stayed with Crown and adjusted plans accordingly. But, we were still going to be able to enjoy some quality time in the ports. Engine problems happen, I get that, these ships haven't sailed for a couple of years, and it seemed Princess was trying to provide something that resembled an Alaskan cruise. However, as the problems continued to increase or compound and it became obvious Crown cannot handle the itinerary, they cut the time in the first port in half and removed one port altogether. For those on the last few sailings they did offer OBC and FCC. However, now that Princess knows the ship is unable to make the ports, the schedule has been revised and published with no mention of additional OBC or FCC. Instead we are reminded we agreed to the Passage Contract. The Passage Contract is extremely slanted in favor of Princess who, for any reason or without notice, can change or remove all ports from a cruise if they so choose. According to said contract we have no claims against Princess for a laundry list of items, among them refunds, travel expenses, inconvenience, or disappointment. All of this falls on the guest unless…. the change was otherwise beyond Carrier’s exclusive control. The problem is not due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, pandemic, or national emergency or even an unexpected mechanical breakdown, such as the fire on Freedom. But, a known mechanical issue and the handling of the problem can be done entirely by Princess. Currently on their website there are other cruises affected for various reasons with alternatives. The sailings on Crown should be given the same options, move to an equivalent cruise, future cruise credit, or a refund. This would at least keep people from complaining, berating, and otherwise abusing Guest Services, the Excursion Desk and other staff on Crown during each sailing.
  22. @rrusso81 Are you on Harv and Marv by chance? Our tour was rescheduled to 1700 and we may be on the same boat. We originally had a private tour with our group. But, our daughter from another mother became pregnant and had to move their sail date a month back. Since it was so close to the season by that point, Harv and Marv asked if we could make it a non-private sailing, and we were alright with that. They have been wonderful through all this with the rescheduling and are going to try and work with us in Juneau. Like other tour operators, they are at the mercy of Crown. My husband is in contact with the lady at Harv and Marv and will be until we dock. Currently, the plan is to try and get everyone to the meet point by 1800. They may have to shorten the tour some to get us back in time to the ship, but they are going to try and get us on the water. If they don't think they are going to be able to give us a worthwhile tour, they will refund our money. Let me know if you are on Harv and Marv, if you are, we can move over to the Roll Call for this sailing and try to keep in touch about the details.
  23. Yes, there is, we are on the same cruise. We went from about 30 hours of visiting Alaska to 18. We plan on having a nice relaxing cruise enjoying the time with family and friends. Maybe I'll get to do one of my whale watching trips!
  24. You flight has to leave after 1100 the day of disembark up to 0130 the following morning. It is for specific airlines, American, Alaska Air, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and United. With the exception of Delta, they will accept international flights. Since you will already be on the sailing, I don't think you can sign up ahead, you will need to do that onboard. But, here is the link to their site: https://maketraveleasier.com/PortValet We already made our reservations for our luggage so we don't have to worry about that once onboard. Everything is supposed to be delivered to our rooms. First time we have pre-registered, so we'll see how that works out.
