  1. Yes the Princess app is a proper app unlike P&O
  2. We were. I was just commenting on your wondering. I wish we knew more but I doubt we will get the full answer.
  3. If only we could pay Select to get a decent Freedom dining room on Arvia/Iona and leave Saver inside fares to those who are happy to eat anywhere available…….
  4. That needs more confirmation, purely speculation. This was an agent led cruise originally only available through them. Some strange cruise to be sure.
  5. Maybe technical but not to do with only being UK.
  6. Maybe the Agent had the same problems NCL had recently. Not got right documentation.
  7. We have been on a cruise just visiting Belfast and Liverpool, no VAT then.
  8. Sorry no longer the case Very good value At the moment I prefer to travel with Princess. Food and drink much better. However we still have cruises booked wit P&O I think it is much better than P&O
  9. Spontaneity. When we read that people are going to the MDRs on Arvia and getting seated there and then or within a few minutes at every time point then we may think it’s true
  10. But there are not enough reports that this is actually what’s happening. Until there are less reports of queues and angst people will have trepidation on sailing these ships.
  11. They were full every night when we were on Iona. This was in order to get a meal at a decent time. It was the first cruise where we booked speciality restaurants, we had always used the MDR before.
  12. It was a semi-ironic laugh! Us naughty passengers aren’t behaving as the bods at P&O want us to when we are on our holidays. If we are stupid enough to want to eat in the MDR every (or even most) night(s) them we must be taught a lesson and our behaviour corrected! Agree
  13. I believe a shuttle is there, provided by the local town and payable. I do not know if it could accommodate an electric wheelchair.
  14. I believe the walk into town is over a steep gradient bridge and the pavement doesn’t always have slopes to get up from the street according to previous posters @SarahHben
  15. Often the port talk people would be at the excursion desk and if you wanted precise information they were able to help you.
  16. We also bought at the £20 mark ages ago. In profit due to dividends and OBC. Bought some more shares at £5 in case they increased the amount needed for OBC. Now doubled that investment at present.
  17. Yes there were wine waiters, they just couldn’t see us. We had to keep asking the waiters to send one over.
  18. When we were on Iona in February at Chefs Table we waited a long time for our drinks, the food had arrived before we were able to order. It appears to be where you are sat as in some areas it is hard to attract the attention of the waiters.
  19. Recently on Arcadia we were called down to security. “We think there is a knife in your case” Bewildered we opened the case and in the small pocket along the back was some paper and…..an Arcadian dinner knife. “What do you use this for?” “It’s to stick in the balcony structure to stop it making a noise, we used it last time on the ship” So they confiscated it. Easily enough to get another one but this time we didn’t need it.
  20. If you remember the front pool on Regal Princess they have built cabins around this pool that severely limits the space to sit. The cabin you are thinking of taking are at the front of these cabins and have the Sanctuary above them. If you suffer from seasickness they are high and front but give good access to this adult only pool. As I said above Regal and Sky are pretty much the same with a bit of alteration to the Crown Grill and Wheelhouse bar that makes it better, also by loosing the small library. Princess Live is not closed off and is a much better space used for quizzes etc. The photo gallery is smaller and Alfredos now adjoins the midship deck where Facets the jewellery shop was. Arcadia has the Crows Nest which is always nice but I doubt there is much difference to occupy people during the daytime. I think Princess has better entertainment in the atrium. Arcadia does not really have an atrium.
  21. Don’t forget their Princess Plus includes gratuities, Wi Fi and drinks. If you want Wi Fi and are not going to withdraw the gratuities you could still be better off. Sky and Regal are basically the same but Sky has Take Five, a jazz club and no library.
  22. That is wrong email. See post above with correct email.
