  1. Doing the canal Port Everglades to San Pedro gives you an extra 3 hours. Going vice versa, you miss 3 hours. 😄
  2. Trust me, these are WiFi repeaters. I remember times when they werent't there over the balconies, and WiFi signal was unusable or at least very poor on the balconies. Princess changed that fleetwide for the MedallionNet. No, not thick cables, they are just carrying a lot of paint, like everythink on the outside. Plugs - hm, outside in sea conditions, of course this can be 12v plugs.
  3. Info from: https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/princess-cays/beach-umbrella-full-day-rental-439038
  4. Yes, these are WiFi repeaters.
  5. You should defenitely blame Princess on this. 🍿 < Popcorn Icon C325 is not even close to stabilizers. Or the engine. And Caribe is deck 10. Posted by "drhugs" Name sais all I think.
  6. Well there are daily flights from Puerto Vallarta to California... 🤣
  7. The additional sea day was between Puntarenas and Huatulco (for leaving out San Juan del Sur). That was indeed a slow leg at 12 knots with extra turns. Huatulco to Puerto Vallarta was done straightforward at 19-20 knots.
  8. Fun thing was, nobody of the Princess staff on the Crown knew about the eclipse. Serious. Likewise most passengers. Only a handful of CC members did. 😎
  9. There are limitations. Embarkation day, an the last X days of the cruise. X depends on ship and crew. It can be 1 to 3 days when they will not accept your dirty underwear.
  10. Amazing. A much easier way to see king penguins than the long and expensive travel to Volunteer Point. I think it's half the price.
  11. Oh, you have a solar eclipse coming up? We had a partial one on the Crown Princess in 2017 on a sea day between Puerto Madryn and Montevideo. This was my trick: Polymeric solar filter from Thousand Oaks Optical (10 bucks on Amazon) I worked pretty well.
  12. Yes thank you, I had found the info in this thread. I know him well, travelled with you on the Sapphire in April / May 2023 in Alaska. 😄
  13. Almond-Crusted Baked Brie, Double-Strength Oxtail Consommé Surf & Turf
  14. And a formal night on New Year's Eve. 🧐 I bet it's Beef Wellington time tomorrow.
  15. Marinetraffic and CruiseMapper show "Reported ETA: 2023-12-30 03:00 LT (UTC -6)", which means 09:00am local time. Are you 2 hours late in Puntarenas tomorrow?
  16. Is Todd McBain the Captain? He made the Antarctica sailings last year on the Sapphire.
  17. It was most likely be done by the crew - I wouldn't automatically blame fellow passengers. Religious stuff, political incorrect stuff, etc. will be removed. And that is good. Decoring your door from the inside is ok.
  18. Gamboa shore excursion today on the Emerald in Panama was 1 hour late back at the ship. Just an example. It can happen. But if the Cruise Personalizer lets you book 2 excursions in a row - it's ok. Minimum time window is indeed 1 hour I think. And I'm sure Princess will refund if you miss excursion No. 2.
  19. Same in the rest of Europe. But you have one week to decide to prepay the blocked booking or not. On the other hand, final payment is not earlier than 30 days before the cruise here. I don't know if its a german or EU regulation tho.
  20. Self-evidently. Earliest time I've been to the ship was around 10:30. Boarding had just started. Never been there earlier.
