  1. IC has two lines. Usually a short line for the food and a long line for the coffee stuff. OceanNow can take some unpredictable time to deliver in the morning because crew is busy serving the hanger breaky.
  2. There is still a BIG difference between 3000+ and 5000+ ships. Royal class ships - at full capacity - are way less crowded than the RCL mayhem.
  3. Enchanted Princess, it will be Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. https://www.brooklyncruiseguide.com/cruise-calendar.html That's not a good idea for this port. LGA airport hotel + Princess transfer (or an Uber) is the best option if you don't plan sightseeing Manhattan before the cruise. If you travel with 4 people, a (large) taxi or Uber is way less expensive than booking 4 Princess transfers.
  4. SOU-AMS is going out too early to reach it in the morning or too late in the evening to get a connection to the U.S. in AMS.
  5. Wow, that's some bad news. We overfished. It's simple.
  6. This is all not fresh locally sourced. It's loaded just deep-freezed in Vancouver, Seattle or Whittier.
  7. Did you know that coconut palm trees and pineapples are NOT native to the Hawaiian islands?
  8. Just like last year. King Crab is not even on the menus of the local restaurants at the moment. Only Snow Crab and Dungeness Crab. Anyway, a lot of people say that Dungeness Crab tastes better than King Crab. If you can find King Crab anywhere in the U.S. right now, it most likely comes from Norway.
  9. Well, sometimes they do. It depends on what you selected in your profile.
  10. Is this the Four Seasons? My Sydney pre-cruise hotel 3 weeks ago was the neighboring Shangri-La. With Bridge, Opera & Royal Princess view. But only from 7th floor ... 😭
  11. Hm, Ketchikan. Let's take a look into the travel archives. Ah, here we go: Smoked Salmon + Egg & Avocado Sandwich from the IC. Plus sparkling wine from the Calypso Bar Deck 14 (the bar is open early from 6:00am).
  12. So you haven't been on a Princess ship so far. You must be kiddin.
  13. You can't even bring an apple into the US from Europe. CBP officers will eat it. lol, no joke.
  14. Yes, of course. Wow, why do you prefer the older Grand and Caribbean? I love the Coral, it was my 1st Princess cruise. First, I thought so, too. But Royal class is amazing. These ships also never feel crowded. The best Royal Class ship is the Regal imho. And I prefer the Sapphire and Emerald as the best Grand/Gem class ships.
  15. The Island, Grand, and Caribbean are the ships that I would most likely not book in the fleet. And the Sun. lol.
  16. The prefab omelettes on the Sapphire look like this: Not comparable to a fresh made Omelette, but they seem to be better than on the Ruby.
  17. Tbh, Princess went over the top with this by far. And they stole the once open to everyone 18+ Retreat Pool (known as Lotus Spa Pool on older ships) now to paid guests only.
  18. Yes. On Australia and New Zealand cruises it's Carlton Zero for example. Yes, they usually do. Red and White.
  19. Is that a Princess ShorEx or independent? I would like to know what tour that might be. Is it the Golden Circle? It's long, yes.
  20. It only went well because the ships then were at 30 to 50% of the passenger capacity.
  21. Who is "they"? "Passengers travelling to Iceland from EEA countries are allowed to bring food products of animal origin for personal consumption". But - the United Kingdom left the EEA when it left the EU in January 2020. So if the ship is coming from Southampton you need to follow this:
  22. You probably need this:
  23. - Paying 3000+ pounds for a cruise. - Not enough money left to buy food ashore. - Priceless.
