  1. When we cruised with a third adult, we divided the total fare by 3. It was mutually beneficial.
  2. Thank you for your fun response! We also prefer a more traditional look and feel, that of which we enjoy on Princess.
  3. Same here. We were on the Celebrity Reflection in October 2018........... never again. Dark and closed-in feeling, quite the snooty staff, extremely slow dining room service, and flies all over the buffet food. NOPE! There are no kids on Viking either, however, we do not want to be required to make full payment a whole year before the cruise date. I have heard good things about Oceana too. We were on HAL once and it is too sedate for us. "Shut down" time is about 8:00 pm. But we liked our balcony cabin in 2008.
  4. How does one learn of the placements in the fleet? I had an interesting conversation with a bartender when on the Grand in September 2022. He was thrilled to be on the Grand and had just transferred from the Emerald. Thx
  5. We have never had a suite; however we love our aft Premium Balconies and select on with the large balcony (often on the Dolphin deck).
  6. @Bimmer09 / Norris: Thank you so much for taking us along with you on this adventure. I also appreciate your comments regarding other cruise lines as well as your search for a new cruise line experience. What are your thoughts on Viking Ocean? We have considered it, but are not too crazy about paying the total upfront a year ahead. We love Virgin Atlantic, but do not think the Virgin cruise line is a good match for us. Safe travels!
  7. I am with you. I immediately think that this is a Royal Caribbean or Carnival ship. For me, it is not visually appealing. It will not be long now when we hear reports from the "pioneer" cruisers on this ship.
  8. This must be the reason why the Australian lady in the first video I posted, said waterslide. She was obviously mistaken. Dry slide, water slide..... same visual impact (personal reactions for each one of us). Regardless, Park Zone fills a lot of real estate.
  9. Correct. The lady in the first video I posted was INCORRECT! And that is the information from which I posted.
  10. I have not seen a Sommelier in the main dining room in forever!
  11. This one goes into more detail about Park 19.
  12. I could swear it was on this thread. I found it! Here is one from YouTube: In the next post, I will link the other one that goes into more detail.
  13. I realize that bt this breakdown addresses the "expensive" issue you brought up.
  14. AS SOON AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO!!!! You can always cancel of you find a different company to book with. Many private companies book up 6 months ahead!
  15. IMHO, I have priced out the package UMPTEEN times on the Princess board. For example: $5.00 Two bottles of water per day $30.00 Two glasses of wine $5.00 Super fancy espresso drink $16.00 Crew gratuity $15.00 Internet $71.00 Therefore, if I want more water or fancy an after-dinner espresso or brandy, I am "covered" and did not irresponsibly spend money on water.
  16. Good grief! Pardon me for using that word.
  17. Please refer to my comment in #1512.
  18. @Sulialto Thanks for sharing your journey with us! It appears that you are off to a fabulous beginning. Great job on securing the Sanctuary for canal day. Enjoy!
  19. Incorrect- Bottles of water are free with the Plus or Premium package.
  20. Often (for example right now), Princess does offer 3rd and 4th persons are no charge.
  21. Platinum does not receive bottled water in the cabin. However, you may order some through room service. It is not free. If you have the Plus or Premium package, then there is no charge. One dining room is open for lunch on embarkation day. You may drop off your carry-ons when the cabins are announced that they are open. However, some people "sneak" them into the cabins first.
  22. In addition, according to the video I just watched; there will be Park 19 which is "designed to bring fun to the entire family". There will be a "Splash Zone", Wall Climbing, a Jogging Track, "Coastal Climb" and a "Recreational Court". To the "Like" and "Thanks" in Post # 1509: I did not make this up. Personally, it saddens me as this ship design, albeit innovative, has removed our favorite cabins. But, it certainly looks fabulous with many new offerings and adventures. However, I think it would be quite a new experience to book this ship and I am looking forward to all of the upcoming reviews of their adventures.
  23. Thank you. I was only quoting the lady conducting the tour.
  24. I saw it on one of the videos that someone posted while on the Sun (most likely on this thread). I was a bit disappointed. It is to obviously be the first waterslide on a Princess ship.
