  1. Thank you for sharing this company. It is always helpful to have this as a resource when booking shore excursions.
  2. Well, pardon me for my effort in making suggestions as to our opinion and experience. Common sense would suggest that IF ANY, you would "tip extra" with GBP, not American dollars.
  3. We had an inside cabin on the Crown which was next to a vague white space. Never again!!! It turned out to be some sort of engine room and was always super loud.
  4. Partially covered and a decent sized balcony is the way to go.
  5. Premium does not automatically mean a larger balcony. Possibly the Sun will be different in this interpretation. There are many balconies on other Princess ships that are designated Premium or Premium Deluxe and have the shallow balconies! It is best to look at the deck plans on Princess for size comparisons. But the Sun may be different.
  6. It states that you get an "Invitation to 360". But what is the cost? An invitation does not mean paid for or complimentary.
  7. We did self disembarking off the Grand in Vancouver, BC. As far as I could tell, we were the very first off of the ship. No one else was in sight. And we are not Elite nor did we have a suite.
  8. What a fabulous day and outing! @Ken the cruiser Thank you for sharing with us.
  9. We typically have the Princess Plus and tip extra in cash to those who really stand out... Like our cabin steward, a sweetie at the buffet, a bartender who knows exactly what you want and how to fix it. We also tip a few dollars for room service and enjoy doing that. The tips are always in American dollars in an envelope with their name on it and ours as well with cabin number.
  10. Wow. I am so sorry to hear of this cancellation. I wish the best for all of you on this Inaugural cruise and to those who were injured and work at the shipyards in Italy.
  11. Thank you so much for finding and posting this! Ugh... the Tattoo is not cheap through the ship. Even our favorite cabins are still available. 😍 Now..... to tell DH
  12. The Military Tattoo is only in August. We wanted to return for that. However, there is not even one Princess ship offering an excursion for it during their August itineraries. They used to, and I am very disappointed.
  13. We have done two East Coast cruises; both were in early to mid October. Please be aware that businesses may be closing down for the season as they we're when we went ( Bar Harbor for example). You would be going late in the season.
  14. I think Disney is pushing it and placing n their n guests in an uncomfortable position in what is supposed to be a vacation. We always get the Plus package which includes gratuities. However, like many, we enjoy tipping in cash to those who are extra special with attitude and service. (Cabin steward, wait staff, bartenders, room service)
  15. Do the research. We were interested in Virgin until I learned of the "activities" on the ship. However, we love their airline, Virgin Atlantic.
  16. Those numbers for the Sun are on their website; not agent hearsay or guesses.
  17. We looked at Virgin and after reading more about it, decided it was not our style. However, we love Virgin Atlantic Air.
  18. Welcome to Cruise Critic! That does seem odd. I looked up the Sky and it says Guests 2670 and Crew 1100.
  19. I appreciate your comments. However, it is odd that in that one post you quoted me, when it really was someone else; @Cruise Raider I believe. Tech issues, CC?
  20. Well, the new Sun Princess will have Park 19, aft. This will have "dry tube slides", a Splash Pad, a Rock Climbing Wall, jogging track........
  21. Sad to say, not at our Costco, but I will keep an eye out. We do have Total Wine too.
  22. I appreciate your Chardonnay experience. I also love oaky and buttery.
  23. Thanks. You are so correct. I am such a snob, that at home, I run my red through the "filter/ aerator" and then let it breathe in the lip-less wine glass. Yum! Thanks for the Caymus recommendation. Do you purchase it on land anywhere?
  24. That sounds excellent. And @capriccio is correct to suggest looking at the Patter. If you can not get into your cabin yet, I suppose you could ask for a copy at Guest Services.
