  1. I used a FCD purchased in 2022 that has been recycled several times and expires 10/24 for this booking. No issues. The expiration dates are book by dates. So anything in your inventory should be available to place on the booking.
  2. I would go to the Internet cafe and see if you can log on there. Have had issues being on a cruise and unable to access to Elite booking in the past. If you feel comfortable let me know the cabin you are interested in and I will check if it is still available and the very inflated prices.
  3. The cruises were available for booking around 8:00am Pacific this morning. We are booked in our desired location. Does not look like heavy bookings as of an hour or so ago. Prices are definitely higher than in the past LA round trips.
  4. As someone who lives in San Diego, temps in January should be mid 60’s during the day, mid 40’s at night. Days will be sunny. Current temps are in the mid-80’s - low 90’s.
  5. Has anyone been able to actually print the port guides after downloading from the App.
  6. Any recommendations for a SIM card to use when visiting Norway.
  7. We, group of 8, utilized Port Valet out of Seattle in June after disembarking the Discovery. Princess made enrollment in the service very easy. The issues we had were being charged for bag fees when entitled to free baggage as activity duty military and flights booked with airline credit card. The exemptions were listed and checked on the enrollment form. Found the baggage fees were from a company called Bags Inc out of Florida. Port of Seattle has contracted with Bags Inc. After a couple of emails finally ended up with a response from Bags Inc who sent a check for the $280 baggage fees. One of our bags did not make it to our final destination but was delivered 2-3 days later at 4:30am. Would use Port Valet in the future as it makes disembarking chaos so much easier.
  8. I think there may be an error in the schedule. There is no way Sapphire can do the same route in 17 days. I would assume the 1 December would be LA to Santiago, very similar to 22 and 23 schedules.
  9. We have carried limes and lemons on board with no issues when embarking in LA. Have also purchased in various ports.
  10. Cruised out of Seattle in the Discovery last month. We spent the pre cruise night at SeaTac hotel, Red Lion. No amenities to speak of, was clean and comfortable. Group of 8 so we reserved 3 rooms so everyone could stretch out. Two rooms were connecting. Shuttle available from terminal to hotel, but I think walking is just as easy. Walking distance to a couple if restaurants, liquor store, Reserved Seattle express for pick up and return to airport after cruise. Would definitely do it again. Price, location, cleanliness great. To get to the question, we had a pick up at 12:15pm. Arrived at the port with absolutely no lines. Luggage drop off was efficient. First check in before upstairs was swift. No waiting to pick up medallions. 6 of our party did not have passports but did not delay checkin. From dropping luggage to boarding, maybe 20 minutes. We do not need to be on board to have lunch in the dining room.
  11. No we were there for the Scottish open also. Same as the US Open being referred to as Open in the country in which it is held.
  12. As someone who is actually at the tournament it is referred to both ways. The Open and The British Open.
  13. B Before you make a decision on what cruise to book, take a look at the airfares. We do not fly coach, usually Business, did fly premium economy once and never again. On researching flights, found it as less expensive to cruise from LA to Santiago than flying BC. I took into account all our OBC. Do your homework, look at all your options. Flying out of BA on your return, look at flights the day after or so. Far less than expensive for us BA-DFW-SAN.
  14. The seas were rough crossing the Drake Passage. Captain made a run from Ushuaia to Antarctica when he saw the seas were moderate. Not bad, rough, but not as rough in my mind as the South Atlantic. The time cruising around in the bays were relatively calm. We went out into a channel at night to avoid possible sea ice issues and it did get lumpy. Captain was very honest in his daily updates, giving weather predictions and suggesting those prone to seasickness to start taking meds. Picture is to tempt you to go ahead and book. Snow was from overnight December 27. Serenity picture the same evening around 8:00pm, leaving a bay. Drink on our balcony heading to Ushuaia in lumpy seas.
  15. We were on the 2022 sailing, booked for 2023. The Santiago to Buenos Aires leg was fully booked. Many large South American extended family groups. This was a memorable voyage. Very well done for Christmas and New Year festivities. On the down side weather was not the best, snow, seas very rough, ports missed. Captain McBain, HAL certified captain and Ice Pilots from Chile and Argentina kept us safe at all times. The worst seas were leaving Antarctic waters heading for Montevideo. No chance of stopping in the Falklands. if you have the chance to sail this voyage, do it!
  16. Use Seattle Express. Far more efficient than trying to catch Uber or a taxi. Both lines were massive when we disembarked Princess end of June. Seattle Express was waiting with a large bus and plenty of room for luggage. They did not wait for the bus to fill up before leaving. https://seattleexpress.com/
  17. The Acropolis closed today due to extreme heat, 105 degrees. Definitely not a great time to be in Greece or Spain.
  18. Received refund of bag fees via check today. Filed for refund 6/27. Happy camper.
