  2. Thanks it gives a date on our Cruise Personaliser about 3 weeks before the cruise in November, are you all saying that this isn’t available any more. Also presumably if you book when you board you can’t book until you actually board so if you have a late boarding time you will probably miss out as it might be booked up by early boarders. Wouldn’t it be great if everything was like pre Covid and you just turned up in time for the shows
  3. In the Cruise Personaliser it seems to contradict itself ref booking entertainment. If you click into entertainment it gives a date when it says it will be available to book. On another part of the site it says it’s not available to book and you have to book on board. So which is it, has anyone booked before boarding? If you have been able to book before boarding is it all the theatre shows or just the paid for Limelight Club? Also what time does the booking availability come up, is it midnight on the day in question or early morning? Thanks for any advice or insight.
  4. No it doesn’t we still gave our chap extra. Why make someone who already works hard do something that we don’t need.
  5. As I just said we had to request them not to do it. We didn’t need our cabin doing twice a day. Will certainly make a point of requested no turndown needed on all future cruises.
  6. Just got off Emerald Princess, our Cabin Steward told us they were doing a turn down service but we said we didn’t need it . As long as we got the Princess Patter for the next day we were happy. Every evening we called in quickly after dinner before going to the entertainment and every night he asked us if we were okay and did we need anything, bless him. They all seemed to be working every all evening.

  8. Unfortunately all Covid testing is open to abuse. My sister has just been to Mexico, a family of 4 Americans were tested before they left to go home. 3 tested negative and 1 positive. The tester said to the positive person here’s your positive result and here is your negative result but that will be $150.
  9. If the last goodness knows how many cruises have had it onboard then surely it must be being spread by the crew. They need to sort it out and make it mandatory to wear masks and enforce it. Stop people going into the venues if they haven’t got masks on and also say not allowed in lifts or tenders without a mask. And that means a mask covering your mouth and nose.

I would also be interested to find out what time Intercruise leave from Hopwood Services, as at the moment we have the coach for Ventura in the Autumn but might change to car parking if the coach times are as they were for the old NEC pickup. We also had a bad experience from that pick up as got to the ship and were ushered straight to the muster drill, where I spend the whole talk worrying whether our suitcases would get on the ship before they closed the doors.

  12. Perhaps I am getting it confused with P & O as they do an officers lunch for their top tiers with a senior officer hosting each table. We haven’t made top tier on there yet .
  13. You take it to the short stay car park for that terminal, so a few minutes walk for whatever terminal. You used to pull up at ship and the guys would take your luggage and put through hole in wall to go to ship. Since Covid I think some have said you have to take luggage to hole in wall yourself which you would have to do for whatever parking you decide to use. So just about 10 yards or so to leave luggage. Like CPS , Parking4cruises take your car to an off site secure parking and then bring back the day or day before cruise arrives back, so if you leave from one terminal and get back to another the car will be waiting at the correct terminal. We left our dash cam on once so had video of car being driven to parking and then being driven back. Sometimes I get out at terminal and go through to get in queue or whatever while Husband takes car . Editing as just seen Martha1974s post, yes you are right about just needs driver to drop off car. When you disembark it isn’t a hassle to get to pick up car. If you were to use CPS you have to queue to get keys and then follow their directions to find your car amongst 100s of others so in some ways Parking4cruises is easier.
  14. I found out recently about the lounge, we had never been when we were platinum as didn’t know about it but probably wouldn’t have gone anyway . So the cocktail party for Platinum and Elite is still going then, it doesn’t mention it on the web page about benefits. I thought they used to do a lunch with the Officers for Elite not just the top 40. The reason I thought that was because on our last cruise, before Covid , we made friends with a couple who were Elite who went and they said there was so many Elite they had to have two lunches to accommodate all the Elites.
  15. I’m sure this has probably been covered but I tried the search and can’t find it, so apologies if it has. Just looking through the Elite Benefits , am I right in saying the Elite/ Platinum cocktail party has disappeared and also the Elite Lunch? I know the internet has definitely gone but wondered about the others and what is now it their place? I see there is a wine tasting, how do you get that and also the afternoon tea please? Do you get the canapés automatically on a formal night or do you have to pick a time (I hope so) and also can you pick what you want or do you just get a selection?
  16. We always use Parking4cruises, never had a problem. Drop luggage , drive to short stay car park, leave car, a few minutes walk back to terminal. Do in reverse when arrive back except we just take cases on trolley a few minutes walk.
  17. Thanks, do you know when you can pick your departure time it says on the app nearer the voyage but is it or is it more like when you get onboard?
  18. Ours was exactly 60 days before. When can you pick you Your departure time please, also do Elite get any priority? ( first time as Elite)
  19. Why no coins if anyone is tipping in £s or €s the lowest note is a 5 and £5 is more than $5 so can add up if you use room service a lot ( we don’t but just interested)

  21. What is or was the loyalty bonus? We are Elite and have never had a loyalty bonus, but we are in the UK so normally miss out on any offers. Is it $100 off or $100 OBC?
  22. Yep we are green again as well. What I don’t understand is if Princess are updating the app or doing maintenance why don’t they just put a note at the top of the App saying they are doing something and people might experience difficulties just like the banks and other organisations do if they are doing maintenance on their site.
  23. Exactly same here. I thought uploaded the vaccine pass and then the antigen test had only come in in the last week or so, before that you had to take with you anyway or show the pass on the NHS app
  24. At least in the UK that is one problem we don’t have to worry about as we can only pick up at the port. Guess what we are now Green again. I really don’t know whether I am going to even try uploading the Covid Pass in case it mucks it up. I was going to try the web version on the PC, but might just skip the whole thing. I was taking paper copies anyway so might just go with that. Thinking about what to do now. If Princess we’re doing an update or maintenance over the weekend why didn’t they just tell us that. A simple note at the top of the App would have done, just like the banks do if they are doing maintenance on the site.
  25. Mine has gone from green ( has been green for over a month) to yellow. It seems this is a common problem, read all the comment in the Medallion App thread at the top of the page you will see you are not alone.
