  1. My wife and I took a city tour, and the lunch stop was Katz’s Deli. On my own, I would not have previously stopped there. After having the pastrami sandwich, I would never hesitate to stop there again.
  2. Alchemy doesn't give out any straws. At least they didn't on the Vista last week.
  3. I just got off the Vista last weekend. One of the bartenders at the Vista Alchemy will be on the Celebration starting at the trans-Atlantic voyage from Southampton to Miami.
  4. Taking it a step further, I'll add my booking number and room number for next week!
  5. Hopefully they're updating the website eliminating any mention of pre-cruise testing.
  6. Yes, I’m going back to this bowling topic to brag for a moment, so please indulge me. Tonight I bowled my 5th lifetime sanctioned 300 game. It’s been just over 5 years since my last 300, and was beginning to think I’d ever get another one. Of course, this damn virus put a pause on bowling during my 5 year 300 game drought, but nonetheless, I got the 5th. I don’t think my heart can take much more of the pressure of bowling a 300.
  7. Thank you for posting the menus. I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so this will help me plan for my Vista cruise in 2 weeks. I will also be extra cautious about my surroundings for the next 2 weeks so as to minimize my potential exposure to the roid.
  8. I have an ocean suite booked on the Vista for later this month. I checked in today, and also received the letter this evening stating that my stateroom would be ready when I board. I’m neither a platinum nor a diamond member.
  9. We bring a fan on each of our cruises, and have never had an issue. We run a fan every single night of the year, even during winter, for the movement of air as well as the “white noise.”
  10. I make it a point to get to know all of my servers during a cruise, but Megan is absolutely next level. My second observation while reading through this whole live review is that, even if I COULD get the cheers package (my wife doesn’t drink), I would never come close to the 15 drink limit - PER DAY! I’m too dang old for that.
  11. This is excellent information. I told my wife that I was sure I'd wake up in the middle of the night after midnight tonight to check in for our cruise. Rather than input all of our information, I can just log in and press a few buttons to pick my time....voila...back to bed.
  12. Lack of a balcony and not having early dining are the 2 deal breakers for us.
  13. The “incompletely sober” comment is impressive. I quite walking barefoot on the cruise decks in 2004. I might be a slow learner, but not that slow. Edited to add that I will be on the Vista on July 30.
  14. It’s painful enough to get my fingers caught between balls on the ball return. I never want to know what it feels like to have one fall on my head.
  15. I’ve bowled in leagues for over 45 years, and not did I ever think, “ya know, I think I’ll toss my old bowling balls in the yard or hang them off the roof for some decoration.”
  16. I audibly laughed at the comment about the shower temperature (rain from the sun). We had a night like that on our Rhapsody of the Seas cruise. Missed dinner in the MDR that night. I also never thought about having fireball at hockey games. Been a hockey fan since the 60’s. I’ll try it next season. As it is, we have fireballs for each of the par 3’s during a round of golf. Bought a new bucket today for tomorrow’s round.
  17. On my last cruise on the Freedom, a lot of my drinks were from the habanero vodka. I can’t wait until our next cruise to have them again. Delicious!
