  1. Holy Canoli! That is crazy...but we know others will book them. Fiona, does it say what amenities are included with the cabana? Thanks.
  2. Construction and installation of Cabanas began last sailing. 5 on each side, Deck 16. * A couple of Cabanas are still under construction. All of the cabanas were being used today, Day 4, sea day. * No pricing or amenities have been established. Guessing it's currently free.
  3. Also... New Cruise Director...it was Eric last week, now its Dennis. (Sounds like "Love & Marriage" may be good this week.) New Captain...it was Captain Rick last week, now its Captain Angel.
  4. Jennie (Concierge), is up at the Suite Lounge. Luisa (Concierge), was assisting Salvador in the Crown Lounge last week. Luisa is now assisting Jennie in the SL. * APDMOM...hoping to get your permission to help...when I can. Thanks.
  5. We will be in Aruba and Curacao this week...I will find out the distance from ship to excursion pickups.
  6. Look for hotels near Placa Catalunya. We also stayed at Hotel Lleo...conveniently located between Placa Universitat and Placa Catalunya. Approximately 12 minutes by taxi to the cruise terminal. * The Metro in Barcelona is cheap and easy to use for getting around. Happy planning.
  7. Our fridge...Symphony...have been giving the beer to our very happy cabin steward.
  8. Good news... * Both Whispering Angel Rose and Chandon Champagne are available at CK/Suite Lounge. * Complimentary to suite guests during lunch, Happy Hour, and dinner. * Note: WA is $14/glass and $55/bottle. The Royal App has an extensive list of wines and champagne, but Whispering Angel is currently not listed...they said the App hasn't been updated. Happy sailing and cheers!
  9. What are you looking for? I'll ask tonight. * We are onboard the Symphony.
  10. Hush Party...the perfect solution. You pick the song to dance to. Fun to watch.
  11. Agree. Just had another wonderful filet at CK. We cruise to relax...B5B.
  12. Most of us were. I actually slept inside the theater while waiting. * Just wanted to let others know the difference between B2B procedures between Barcelona and Fort Lauderdale. Brief Summary: Barcelona= no customs/immigration = 42 seconds. Fort Lauderdale = with customs/immigration = 3 hrs and 15 minutes.
  13. I didn't say a single word. If you knew me, you would know I'm a very quiet person.
  14. Regrettably, it wasn't good for B2B passengers. B2B passengers were all inside the Royal Theater before 9am...our passports checked, new seapass cards given, then told to sit down. An hour and a half later at approxinately 10:30am, passengers were asked to be patient as ship's drills were being conducted. At approximately 11am, we were finally instructed to go to Deck 5, gangway. We waited again, our old seapass cards taken on our way out. A long queue formed as we all waited for Customs/Immigration in the terminal...a quick passport check and we were guided back to the front of the terminal. Then a lady instructed all B2B passengers to sit down and wait. At approximately 11:35am, we were instructed to walk towards the gangway and onto the ship. Another queue formed as passengers were stopped on Deck 5...new seapass cards were checked "Ting-in", passports checked again, and photos taken. (Someone yelled "Why didn't you take our f******g pictures while we waited for 2 hours in the theater!!!?") It was approximately 12:15pm when we made it back on the ship. * Two weeks ago, the B2B procedure in Barcelona took all of 42 seconds.
  15. We were onboard the Navigator last year for Christmas and New Year's Eve sailings. * Christmas caroling/songs, decorations, and a massive Christmas tree between Playmakers and Sorrentos. * Crew members wearing Santa Clause hats. * Free gifts to all children ages 6 and under...given by Santa Clause. (Great photo op) * A large, table-sized Christmas cake in the Windjammer. * Christmas Tree lighting. * Free egg-nogs...alcoholic and non-alcoholic. * Midnight mass. * And yes, a nice turkey dinner in the MDR. (Not sure what they had for dinner in the Windjammer.) * Agree with all of those who suggested to speak to the MDR staff. Politely explain your situation...it is Christmas and I'm going to guess they will be happy to accomodate your family. Start with your Headwaiter, then Maitre D', or ROM , or F&B, and last would be the HD. Merry Christmas and happy sailing.
  16. Refundable OBC's...Guest Services will be happy to give the cash back to you. Non-Refundable OBC's...you can spend or cash it at one of the slot machines in the casino. As js said, it is quite easy. Enter your seapass card and follow the prompts. Or ask one of the casino host to help you. * We typically play a few "pulls" on the slot machine...have won a few jackpots before cashing out.
  17. My story...just wanted to share it again... In 1968, I was a paperboy and delivered the San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner. Every month, I would knock on people's doors and say " paperboy, collecting". I was happy if someone gave me 25 cents for a tip...50 cents, I was ecstatic. Most just paid the bill. (I welcomed and genuinely appreciated the home baked cookies.) I saved every penny...my "salary" were those tips. Fast forward...now a bit older and I decided to purchase 100 shares of Chrysler stocks with the money I saved. (and gifted my dad 100 shares) Evryone told me I was stupid...Chrysler was going bankrupt. Chryler hired a guy named Lee Iaccoca...Chrysler survived. The stocks went up, doubled,...split, split again. Then Chrysler was bought out by Daimler-Benz. I, and my dad, received quarterly dividends for years. I continued to save and saved enough for a downpayment to buy my first house. Sold it, and bought a better house...again and again. Fast forward to now...happily retired, with my beautiful wife, and onboard the Symphony of the Seas. Thank you and God bless to those that gave me even a small tip.
  18. bucfan2, so true...able to use BOGO last night at Izumi and it was day 11. (Last sailing, same week as you, no take-outs were allowed at Izumi...this sailing...it's allowed.) * Just to see, I'll go back to Hooked today and ask to use our other BOGO.
  19. We were on the Quantum earlier this year.. Brisbane to Honolulu...Honolulu to Vancouver. The Noodle Shop was open. A few items on the menu were complimentary. Most passengers walked by it...it was never busy. * JMHO, the noodle bar (soup) located just inside the Windjammer was absolutely outstanding. You decide/pick and customize all the ingredients...the broth changes daily.
