Princess Plus or Princess Premier for a wine drinker?
lahlah57 replied to daveo6313's topic in Princess Cruises
That Remy Martin XO is what my husband was drinking but not all bars had it and my husband would tell them he would wait right here until they go get it from where it is currently sitting. You and he may have emptied their stock out! 😆🥃 -

Yup....we sailed Discovery this past fall out of San Pedro and got there about 9:45am. We left early to hurry up and wait. 😅 -

You do have a point. We're 7 day cruisers. Works well for us! -
Noro virus would beg to differ with you. Enjoy your p**p fest!

I know.....there are numbskulls who do not know how to conduct themselves in the buffet. Even handling the serving ware after one of these lovely people picked something from between their teeth makes buffets unappetizing. 🤢

Princess Plus or Princess Premier for a wine drinker?

So true but then again we know by wine menu which one works best for our taste and meal pairing. Its nice to ask them for what they think is the best and sample. Love or hate it then try something else. Premier offers us that luxury. -
I would say do not feel bad about not leaving sooner than august 28th because the later in august and september you can avoid being overun with the little darling that are out for summer vacation. Everyone makes their Alaska trip for different needs. We wanted as little flight drama that I could muster because of work contraints. Living in california I wanted nonstop round trip to and from seattle. Less chance of goof ups for a nonstop 2 1/2 hour flight 🤞. The stops are basic cities in alaska and for seven days...3 sea days are perfect (we love sea days). Just keep in your mind your needs specifically according to itinerary.

My husband and I were on premier package and always asked for the best red wine in regards to merlot, cab, pinot or whatever. We can tell by seeing the bottle once they pour. -
Paying with a credit card at Princess shops

Yep.....they couldn't take it without a register or card scanner....so medallions are the one and only option! -
We were on Discovery last november and we had the red background with the white sea witch. We were denoted as ruby passengers by the number of cruises we have been on.

It could have been but either way...I like doing my own and I use my own laundry soap sheets and dryer sheets. Such a simple task to get done in early morning between cups of coffee. 😁 And husband helps out too for double duty 👍

We were on Discovery this past november and there was no fee or tokens in laundry room. Even the laundry soap and dry sheets were on a shelf for free. Loved getting up early and starting laundry. It was done the way I wanted and it was a fast task and no waiting to get laundry back. I always choose cabins in close proximity to laundry room.

What I don't get is why grown folks find it a difficult concept to wash your hands before you eat or handle food period! C'mon people grow up!!!

Amen.....just not interested in mexico. Been there done that!

Totally disagree! The cost of a trip is not always the most memorable ones! The ones that you just fly by the seat of your pants are the ones that stick with you! I can attest to the memories made with not knowing what you were going to do and just let it happen!
-
There are options and I will take those instead of being taken advantage of by the cruiseline.....just not worth it to me!
-
Just looked at excursions in alaska for our cruise in may and it is absurd...$$$! We decided no excursions and will just walk off the ship and walk around town or take a simple shuttle into town or hop on hop off! We will not be hosed anymore than we already are!

Shoot....literally free!? That could tempt me to even sail on carnival. Now I need to rinse my mouth out with some vodka after that comment 😖 -
Making the Premier package worth it - top shelf cocktails
lahlah57 replied to CrazyTrain2's topic in Princess Cruises
The cognac my husband drank straight up was Remy Martin XO or Hennessey XO, I can't remember. It was not listed and we had the premier package onboard the Discovery last november. It was well worth it for him because that's all he will drink.
