  1. In november on the princess discovery....we paid nothing. I used no tokens and just pressed buttons. I was wondering what was going on. Even small detergents were sitting out on a shelf complimentary. Never expected it!
  2. Yes she was and she is a beautiful fit as a captain for celebrity in bringing sailing to a more current age.
  3. Thankyou but takes much more to actually offend me 😆 Just returned from Celebrity Beyond.....they were right up our alley for negative 5 formal nights. Dressing "appropriately" for formal nights have gotten somewhat subjective.
  4. Yes and thats exactly what we did back in november. Unlimited casual.
  5. I believe it was asked what we saw in recent days. Few tuxes, sport jackets, dress shirt and slacks, no ties or ties. That is what we witnessed.
  6. If I just make an effort?! What does that translate to? That sounds like something a 6th grade teacher would say to a student who's failing. I have been on many cruises and my husband and I have done the formal thing many times over! My stated choice was not a condemnation on your choice. Yes....lazy! Thats what you do on vacation.....GEEZE!
  7. It was so easy to just pop over to laundromat early and do it yourself. Didn't cost a cent without worries of the service shrinking your stuff in industrial washers. The laundromats are one of the top 5 reasons I sail with princess! So easy peasy!
  8. We've done the premier package on the princess Discovery this past november and it was sooo nice to get what you want and how much you want without staying within limitations. We are doing exactly the same in may on the Majestic!
  9. Oh no never shamed....just do not wish to go thru the rigamaroo of changing into our dressier wear. Me....shamed?!?! No way! Lazy and on vacation.....yes!
  10. Wear a tux if you wish but I must say the tuxes are not the choice of many men. The majority wore dress shirt, slacks and jacket, no tie. My husband wears slacks and dress shirt. Most of the time we avoid formal nights and go to the many other choice eating options. We are just too lazy to go thru all the drama! You wear a tux, sequins, furs, diamonds and feel great about it. Hell, I don't even want to pack any of it! 😆
  11. We were on Discovery this past november and got a buzzer once for one of the dining rooms when it was particularly busy. We only waited for maybe 20 minutes. For just the 2 of us we just walked up no reservations and were always seated no problems.
  12. To post only peanut butter seems a bit prejudicial. We would all be surprised of all manufactured , packaged and mass produced food items everywhere and anywhere and the tid bits that have snuck in without a soul even knowing. Please let us all not be naive but acknowledge and eat, drink and be merry!!! Especially on our next cruise!
  13. The length of time is dependent on the company. Great conversation seems to never have a time limit! We have had boorish and obnoxious people share our table and I would be ready to go before the main course. If I alcohol has been overdone by said people it can be unbearable.
  14. What I may be able to manage on formal night is a shower and brushing my teeth. There you have it! 😁
  15. If formal nights of surf and turf is meatloaf and sardines......I will see you in Alfredos 😆
  16. I think we can all agree not everyone has common sense. One person presentable dinner attire is a suit and a cocktail dress anothers is a sequined swimsuit, a tshirt without a hole and salsa stains on the front.
  17. Amen to that. I am fine with a dress shirt and slacks for men and nice dressy shirt with dress capris for women. I won't do sequins or will he do any kind of suit with tie but thats us. If anyone else wants to go full tilt I support you! Our Celebrity cruise last spring follows a smart casual on formal nights and it was lovely!
  18. Possibly they'll start serving "lobster like" items that will be formed like lobster but is actually cod and throw in a little orange food coloring.
