Yes! This is the one I have heard about and would love to see!

Let us know if you are successful 🙂 I would love to see the Bon Jovi tribute band but have no idea what ship they are on or when… We also enjoyed a great band on our Ovation cruise to Alaska last summer called The Switched On Band that I would love to see again!

Cococay Thrill Waterpark Cabana
Newcruiser2012 replied to cruisinlawn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would book now so you don’t risk them selling out but definitely check back often as there are frequent “sales” especially around major holidays. Black Friday in particular usually has some pretty good deals. The cheapest I have seen the water park cabanas recently is $999 and passes $79 but varies by ship and sail date. -
Our very first cruise in August 2012 left Ft. Lauderdale just as Hurricane Isaac was rolling in. 60 mph wind gusts on deck. Our itinerary was reversed and the seas were a little rough the first couple of days but we had a GREAT time! Still cruising 11 years later 😁

How does Odyssey differ from Oasis class ships?
Newcruiser2012 replied to goldenfarm's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I saw on your other post that you are doing the Southern Caribbean itinerary so I just want to pass along one suggestion. I’m not sure what your family’s interests are or how adventurous you are, but when we were in Aruba we rented UTV’s (not ATV’s) to tour the island on our own and we had a BLAST! Our 20 something DD and niece were with us and they loved it! I thought it might be something your teenager would enjoy. You can go on your own or with a guided tour if you don’t feel comfortable going out on your own. -
How does Odyssey differ from Oasis class ships?
Newcruiser2012 replied to goldenfarm's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were on Odyssey in January. There is a rock climbing wall, Flow Rider surf simulator, Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator, Skypad VR trampolines, North Star, pools and hot tubs, Seaplex with bumper cars, dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, laser tag, video games, ping pong, air hockey, Zone Zero VR experience (for a nominal charge) plus there’s a teen club that has video games and other teenage friendly activities. LOTS to do! 😎 -
I also highly recommend Bernard’s Tours. We used them on our very first cruise visit to St. Martin in 2012 and have used them again on our two subsequent visits. They have a variety of options that include Maho, super reasonable prices and they’re very reliable.

Once check in opens up for your cruise you can check in for both you and your mom if you are on the same reservation or the reservations are linked. On the App you can choose your arrival time as soon as it opens up without having to finish the entire check in process (this only works on the app, not online). Key gets you priority boarding. You can skip uploading the pic if you want, they will take your pic at the terminal, takes two seconds. Enjoy your cruise 🙂

"National Beer Day" Beverage Package Sale

Reminds me of the furniture store sales. If it’s always on “sale” is it actually a sale? 🤔 -
Royal Caribbean Cooler Bag
Newcruiser2012 replied to njcruisebunny's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My husband has two. One from our very first cruise on Oasis in 2012 and one from our most recent cruise on Odyssey this year. They are decent quality, keep beer cold and they don’t leak 👍 Back when he bought the first one they refilled it for $5 a beer. No longer discounts on refills unfortunately 🙁 The new one has a comfy padded strap for carrying on your shoulder 😎 -
Prime cruise offer question
Newcruiser2012 replied to Parkhopper's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Sorry to highjack this post, but my husband and I both earned Prime status in 2022 so my understanding is we keep our status until Mar 31 2024 at which time our Prime status will renew as long as we each earn at least 2500 tier credits between now and then. We’ve both received plenty of free cruise offers for various stateroom categories on specific sailings, but my question is regarding the annual free cruise that is supposed to be awarded in April… How/when will we be notified about that? Is it for the sailing of our choice or do we get a list to choose from? Can we combine our two interiors into one balcony? TIA. -
We were on Odyssey last month, table of seven, we all ordered multiple apps, entrees and desserts and they were always served at the same time, no issue whatsoever. Out of the seven, three of us didn’t want the lobster tail but we ordered one anyway, along with the entree we did want, and gave our lobster to the others so they could have two. Again, no issue whatsoever.

?s Regarding various things on Quantum OTS

You can book ahead of time as well, but they seem to hold back some availability for booking once on board. -

Availability should open up for booking iFly and Northstar through the app once you are onboard and connected to the Wi-Fi. Try to book as soon as you get on board to have the best shot at getting the days/times you want. -
I think “officially” it’s supposed to be in a carry on but we’ve always placed it in a checked bag and it’s been delivered to our stateroom every time. Bottles or cans, either one is fine.

We visited Aruba for the first time earlier this year and we loved it! If you are adventurous, I recommend renting UTV’s and exploring the north side of the island. We rented from Jean’s Rentals and had a great experience. We saw the lighthouse, goldmine, natural bridges, ostrich farm and more. After returning the UTV’s late afternoon we took a shuttle bus from the cruise port to Palm Beach area for dinner, drinks and shopping. It was a long day and we were exhausted by the time we got back on the ship but we had a blast and can’t wait to go back!

New Policy, only one entree at a time?
Newcruiser2012 replied to mcatmcat's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Same with our Odyssey cruise last month. Multiple entrees, apps, desserts per person, brought out at the same time, no issue.
