  1. Which has a full bar that is staffed from 0630; a unique, and worthwhile, benefit only on Navigator.
  2. I'm sure there are many of us here that remember that first picture with a wonderful gem in the center and with Salma Hayek and Pierce Brosnan onboard.
  3. Better picture of iceberg threat whilst approaching Cornerbrook: https://ice-glaces.ec.gc.ca/prods/WIS28SD/20230513180000_WIS28SD_0012603808.pdf Probably best to stay away. And if you look at this picture, they are estimating one iceberg on the path to Cornerbrook: https://ice-glaces.ec.gc.ca/prods/WIS65/20230514000000_WIS65_0012604072.pdf That one iceberg could trap you in port. Marc PS Last year on Navigator Cornerbrook also was cancelled at least one time in May but we were able to make it there in June; I was able to hold up my sign "13" indicating I had now been to alll 13 Canadian Provinces and Territories.
  4. Here is latest ice chart for Gulf of St Lawrence including Cornerbrook; make your own assessment regarding ice. https://ice-glaces.ec.gc.ca/prods/WIS28C/20230513180000_WIS28C_0012603812.pdf Here is the ice bulletin: https://iceweb1.cis.ec.gc.ca/Prod/page3.xhtml Here are the iceberg bulletins: https://iceweb1.cis.ec.gc.ca/Prod/page3.xhtml
  5. Jennefer, the Grandeur inaugural still lists Trieste as embarkation port; will this also be moved to Fusina? Just wondering if Trieste is not a good location for a hotel night before embarkation. thanks, Marc
  6. I agree, I didn't recognize any names except Ray; and we spent 94 nights on Navigator last year so got to know a lot of the staff.
  7. Anchorbuoy, i thought Michael and Alessandro shared GM duties on Navigator, can you ask Norbert if one (or both) of those have moved on to other ships or companies?
  8. That area behind Galileo's is a gem; we spent lots of time out there in both good and bad weather.
  9. In addition to my confirmation invoice, the updated cancellation penalties can be found on rssc.com under FAQ for cancellation policies; copied in total: A 100% cancellation fee will be imposed as indicated for non-appearance. 10. We are booked Barcelona to Sydney. A bit disappointed to learn about the $500 per person NON-REFUNDABLE (i.e., no longer a future cruise credit) cancellation penalty for the new Grand Voyages. We now have three Grand Voyages and five other cruises booked on Regent; I sure hope the market doesn't tank. 🙂
  11. Mariner has a gap after the 2025 World Cruise in June 2025; nothing until then.
  12. If Voyager is going to go into dry dock in 2024 they are going to have to cancel an already booked trip as there are no openings in its schedule.
  13. Twenty years ago I tried to get Delta to fix this "problem" with no success; now I just live with it; never had an issue.
  14. Instead of stating a segment on Day 1 they would start it on Day 15.
  15. The rotation is actually 28 days. Problem is that they usually start at day 1 at start of segment. Sometimes they realize they should start farther down the menu.
  16. Not necessarily true.. You get the credit that is stated when you booked. We have one trip wherein the credit was $2700 when we booked but later changed to $3600 whilst the total fare had also increased. We were entitled to only $2700 if we dropped the air later.
  17. In 32 cruises with Regent I have never used Regent air; I have always taken the credit. However, in next two years I have chosen to keep Regent air for three trips as credit nowhere close to allowing me to use miles or pay for tickets. You need to make the decision on a trip by trip basis.
  18. Deck 10 only off of pool deck; one door but then left for women and right for men. On Deck 11 outside of Galileo's there is a male and a female. All four are one hole. There used to be larger restrooms on Deck 10 but they were removed when they built Prime 7. Definite shortage of public restrooms on Navigator; best of the few is on Deck 6 starboard aft just outside of the theater.
  19. I don't think so. Three flights a day from Paris and flights from most other European capital cities; don't see how they could find 600 business class seats. I am as confused as you.
  20. Because there are 600+ business class seats a day into Port Louis?????
  21. Mike, thanks; will the second portion of the Grand Cultural on Mariner (1 Oct 25) Barcelona to Barcelona for 34 days also be a Grand Voyage or at least sold as a single trip? Marc
  22. Usually, there is advance notification and chance to advance reserve Grand Voyages; however, today there are five new Grand Voyages available for booking. I guess we are going to have to research quickly and get our booking(s) made. Marc PS Excluding of current voyages also became default view on Find a Cruise today, too.
