  1. On the website it states vaccinated guest, cruise longer than 6 days test, shorter than 5 days no test of leaving from North America
  2. It says it right there in your post, vaccinated passengers do not need to test for cruise of 5 days or less.
  3. I don’t believe that for a moment, you shouldn’t believe any theories out there either. This is a month away, NO-ONE has any idea how this will be handled.
  4. The unvaccinated sea pass card could easily be coded to disallow checking off the ship. They do it with minors, couldn’t be difficult
  5. No problem, the boss does it every cruise.
  6. Take a cab to the Red Hook ferry terminal, their website has rates and schedules.
  7. What is unclear about Royal’s guidance? Be Vaccinated, take a test if your cruise is 6 days or longer (based on the same destination parameters as NCL)
  8. Me too! I use eleven $2 bills, a Kennedy half dollar, and 3 dimes because the staff likes the novelty of it.
  9. Yes, you will get a receipt with cost of drink, 18% gratuity, and a blank line for additional gratuity for you to sign.
  10. Royal did away with the wine packages several years ago, unfortunately. We took advantage of it often.
  11. I don’t tip 20% for a drink at a land based establishment. My gratuity $1-$2 on the ship for my D+ drinks mirrors what I would do at my local watering hole.
  12. I think double points have gone the way of the upgrade fairy.
  13. It is all theoretical, no one knows how the system works, it is purposely kept a mystery
  14. You can order anything you want from the bar at breakfast.
  15. Of course no one has ever received bad information from Royal Caribbean customer service or an email. The official policy published on the website and confirmed by several services within the industry is “12 and over require vaccination”. This is as of today; tomorrow may be different
  16. Royals guidelines say 12 and over need a vaccine to sail. Everyone needs a test 3 days prior to embarkation on trips 6 days or longer Trips 5 days or shorter require no tests for vaccinated individuals. All guidelines at the discretion of destination protocols. seems pretty clear to me
