Been on both.....Celebrity foot better, quality better....with the Steakhouse and Rudi's on Carnival thats a pretty good match point. Not so sure the extra $$$ is worth it Seems more to do on Carny.

Good point...DMV.....takes FOREVER....take a number, sit down.....Last time I was there they had a line out the door, once inside you had to get in another line. All this with grouchy state employees going off on patrons if you ask a question. Not a good thing,

FIrst trip to Bonaire. WE have used ship based excursions before, and also free lancers at the port. As a general rule, we seem to have better luck finding locals at the port for excursions compared to those offered by the Cruise line. Some pointers, does, or dont's at Bonaire port would be helpful, especially if you have had an experience with booking locals.

WE used to have a local restaurant that charged by the pound. Load up the salad bowl, have it weighed and PAY....you can leave what ya like, you already paid for Everything on your plate.

Nothing Formal at all on Formal night....surprised we dont see Dress T Shirts.

THanks...great help.....We have an 8 day...we have the Steakhouse on the second day...or First Sea day, I think we are safe here. The Teppan reservation is on 2 days before end of cruise. Hopefully we can make one of these without a conflict. It's confusing....Day 1 is listed as embarcation, and Day 9 is listed at end of cruise /return. I think we're ok on the steak, but not sure about the last one. Thanks again.

8 day, carnival Mardi....Canaveral to aruba, bonaire, turks.

My digital skills are not top notch. I'm sure this has been asked many, many times. 8 day Cruise....what nights are formal nights.

Had similar experience at Alchemy Bar...seems the regulars show up every night, and take over the place....hard to even get a drink, got the impression it was some private gathering...outsiders stay out.

Point of reference......One pack of Marlboro in Chicago runs $16/pack. Tax man goes crazy ....

Remember this place well....had tuna tartar, and made bouillabaisse from scratch. fish n chips and more...amazing !!!

Now I know what papa meant about the good old days. Midnight buffets.....tasting stations for free sample this, buffets with at least 2 times the selections today, and even tiny things like ship lapel pins which you gotta go hunt for now. Every cruise is just a little bit less....

I guess if you order sunny side up eggs in the dining room...you only get one egg...but you can purchase another egg for $5.
