  1. See 4 B of the cruise contract- no household goods- it cannot list everything by name.
  2. Yes, but on my recent cruise out of Galveston several people had luggage too large to go through the scanners. They were directed over to the sided for hand checking.
  3. Why are some people allowed to carry luggage that are far too large to go through the scanners and have to be hand checked? Are they trying to sneak stuff in and think it is easier in a hand checked bag?
  4. I did test positive on May 27 and had a cruise for June 20. At the last minute, we decided to retest so we could use VeriFly so did not use the certificate of recovery.
  5. As long as the hypothetical person had no symptoms then he/she would be good to go.
  6. We recently sail in a Spa balcony cabin deck 12 on the Breeze- thankfully it was a great deal, there were no upgraded toiletries, no great discounts on spa services, but we enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool several times a day. There were never more than a hand full of people in there at a time. Overall, we enjoyed spa area and did expend enough in the spa to make-up for the deal Carnival gave us on the cabin. massage- well worth it! Acupuncture- waste of money.
  7. I doubt you will have any problems especially if the child shares your last name but me, I am a little OCD and would get the letter. It does not have to be notarized but that would be go. You could have the other parent prepare the letter and scan it to you.
  8. That would basically mean taking responsibility as the guardian. That's a hard call. The OP could join the military and set sail. (I realize it is too late.)
  9. I am a literal thinker. Thankfully on my recent cruise I didn't experience this. Even once when I had to walk through the smoking deck several people held off as I walked by. Walking through the casino was different.
  10. Smoking anywhere would be a no go for me- it hard to believe that people would be allowed to smoke in the MDR, buffet, pool elvators, etc.
  11. We used it recently in Galveston, it seem to help us get through the process a few minutes quicker.
  12. It is elegant night usually the second night.
  13. On my recent cruise on the Breeze, I did not notice any cash tips changing hands except for the ones I have out of course.
  14. The sea bass can be one of almost 500 different fishes.
  15. With VeriFly you do not have to show your test results or vaccination record, but you show your phone to prove that you are "ready to sail." But still have to have the paper records with you, so I doubt it really saves too much time.
  16. I know this was not the question but would encourage the purchase of travel insurance. I know it is an added expense but, in most cases, a small one. Like all insurance, we buy it hoping we will never use it.
  17. We recently docked at Costa Maya and there was no free trolley that we had expected. We walked in but it was very hot a trolley would have been helpful.
  18. We learned that lesson- next check we will check our luggage the night before and wait at the Lideo deck until they make us leave.
  19. There are bars/restaurants around the pool that is fairly large. Yes you can just walk but the pier is long.
  20. But with this said on our recent cruise we hit our cabin with bleach wipe just to be on the safe side.
  21. Right, In most situations, cleaning surfaces using soap or detergent, and not disinfecting, is enough to reduce risk. Disinfection is recommended in indoor community settings where there has been a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 24 hours. CDC finally admits it was wrong about surface transmission of COVID-19 (denverpost.com) with this new guidance from the CDC, you can finally ignore excessive cleaning or disinfection that wastes your energy and budget. Don’t waste your COVID budget on cleaning supplies, and don’t keep people from enjoying activities that bring life and joy.
  22. A documentation of recovery is simply the positive test from a certificated lab that told you that you had Covid. At one time there was talk of having a doctor's statement, but they quickly realized that most people with Covid never went to a doctor. I verified this with Carnival FAQ, with my PVP (I emailed him my paper work, and John Heald) The only downside with documentation of recovery is that you cannot complete VeriFly that is hy we decided at the last minute to get retested thankfully we showed negative so we could use VeriFly.
