  1. Cruise Cash is a clever gimmick Carnival marketing thought up since they know people will spend it on the ship and probably more.
  2. I did two cruises last year and several on this list were not available and then a few not listed were available. So supply change and local issues can change the list- but no coke products.
  3. I have been on at least 14 cruise, two Carnival cruises last year and I never witness any outrageous behavior described here. Don't get me wrong I have seen some bad behavior-from kids, teenagers, young adults, and older adults. I have seen 20 kids in a hot tub, I have seen young adults in the BVD drinking from wine bottles in the hot tub, I have seen adults making-out in the pool, I have seen teens fighting outside the teen club, and plenty of old drunks in the casino plus several times I have seen people taken off in handcuffs. But bad behavior can and does happen everywhere. I am going in a few weeks on a ship out of New Oreans and I have heard this is the worst- I will report back.
  4. Me too! Yes, Pluto Is A Planet Says NASA Scientist At The Site Of Its Discovery 91 Years Ago This Week (forbes.com)
  5. It is England to me. (and I am of Scottish heritage.
  6. When I did a high European tour, we gave our passport to the tour guide and we did not see it again until we landed back in New York.. IThe tour guide presented them at various government officals at each country we visited. Second, whe I studied in the Old Soviet Union, We surrendered the passport to the authorities who hel it until we departed at the Moscow airport.. Finally, on a river cruise that crossed national boundries the ship held the passports and be presented to the authorities.
  7. They had them in the shops last year on our two cruises and you could buy one from the room attendant also. (We no longer you them since we bought some lightweight quick dry microfiber towels from Sam's.)
  8. This is very common in world travel.
  9. The Bubbles program is $10.00 so if you like soda it is a good value. (except for people who don't like Pepsi.)
  10. See if it works while out at sea, last June we discovered I-messages and Facebook Messenger worked for us between iphones on the ship and with others back in the USA. I was afraid of a big bill when we got home but discovered no charges.
  11. Many years ago, we took our 3-year-old. We had a great time. Milk is always available in the Lido area although you may have to ask for it. (We did that in November to get some for our cookies at 10:00 pm.) My main suggestion is to bring some umbrella strollers instead of the monster strollers many people bring. They are a lot easier to store and maneuver around the ship and ports. (We didn't bring on but did rent one from the ship.)
  12. This is not true. We just toss them rolling carry-on. (we like to bring a variety if favors.) If you bring them in a sealed carton, security may destroy the box to search it. I personally would not worry about keeping ice on all the drinks since most cabins now have coolers plus the room steward can bring a beer bucket with ice to keep a few of them cold each day.
  13. Thanks for the review. Sorry, you got sick. We will be on this ship in a few weeks.
  14. Right, that is why I think about the possibility of a change when I book and discuss the options with my PVP.,I have had to change three cruises over the years and my PVP took care of it.
  15. A few times they have added fruit and other decorations to my daughter's spirit (or Pepesi version.)
  16. Right- pay the suggested amount and be done with it.
  17. Thankfully, I have found the Serenity a calm place but the Lido is another story at times.
  18. Sometimes iPhone messages will work without purchasing an internet plan.
  19. If I were relying on birth certificates to cruise I would buy new ones from the official agency of my state's birth but not all people do this. I have noticed someone pulling an old birth certificate in pieces from an envelope- he got on the ship. Once at a hotel the night before a cruise some friends had to have family members fax copies of their birth certificates- they got on the ship. I witnessed others downloading copies to personnel at the port to be printed- they got on the ship. Not all agencies use raised seals. In my state notaries no longer use a raised seal device, they just have ink stamps.
  20. Are paper boxes easy to recycle? Since they also sell water in those.
  21. I wasn't advocating for ordering Amanzon-I was just giving an option. I am personally boycotting Amazon right now- but their trucks are still rolling down my street a dozen times a day.
  22. Right, bottled water from Carnival is a good option unless you have an environmental objection to plastic bottled water. If so boxed water is also an option. Canned and boxed water is available from Amazon.
