  1. Yes, it is! We enjoyed lunch at Pinnacle Grill a couple of times on our recent Oosterdam cruise.
  2. It just took me an hour and 45 minutes to get through to HAL's Flight Ease desk, but I DID get through. Patience is a must. And FWIW, HAL is a really nice cruise line and to give it up because of issues of getting through to them would just be sad. Believe me, they are worth the wait! 😊
  3. Yes. Earlier this month we received certificates for crossing the equator and going through the Panama Canal. We are heading to Europe for a 14 night Norway cruise on Nieuw Statendam next month and I would expect that they will give us certificates for crossing into the Arctic Circle ,where we've been plenty of times before because we live 110 miles south of it. This will be our first time cruising above the AC though.
  4. We are booked on NS for 14 nights to Norway beginning May 14th, and so far no changes have been announced. I sure hope they don't cancel Hammerfest and Honningsvag, as those 2 ports are the northernmost on our itinerary and we're really love to see them. At this late date and due to prior experience, I imagine that if there are any itinerary changes, they'll let us know once we're onboard. I hope I'm wrong and that we can reach all of our ports.
  5. Half & half is half milk and half cream. It really makes my coffee wonderful!
  6. Yes oh yes! We are having withdrawals! We struggle every day to figure out what we have to cook for dinner. Pure drudgery! But we are combating that with a 14 night cruise on Nieuw Statendam to Norway beginning on May 14th. Our suitcases are still in the living room, where we've taken away some shorts and t-shirts and are replacing those with long pants and a few sweaters. We can do this! I just hope there's some half & half on NS! 😁
  7. I was on the same cruise as FlaMariner, and they were out of half & half for coffee when we boarded. Part way through the cruise, maybe in Lima, they restocked, but that supply only lasted until we got to Panama, I think. I rarely drink, but heard other passengers saying that the ship was out of their favorite alcoholic beverages, as well as out of all diet sodas. I'm a coffee/tea/water person, so the only thing that affected moi was the lack of half & half. It was brutal!πŸ€ͺ
  8. Mine, too. I am going on a casino deal cruise next month, but I haven't received another offer since January or February. I've read that people got offers last week and again today. I didn't receive those.
  9. Just off the Oosterdam yesterday morning in Ft. Lauderdale after a beautiful 17 night cruise from Santiago, Chile. The food was pretty amazing, and we were even offered Surf & Turf (filet mignon & a lobster tail) on the last Dressy night! Food was good everywhere from the MDR to lido to the Dive In to the Pinnacle Grill to room service! I have absolutely nothing to complain about, and I loved that they had the taco bar set up next to Dive In every day. We wanted for almost nothing! My only gripe was that they ran out of half & half, which I prefer over milk in my coffee, but they restocked when we were in Lima, so it all worked out. The service was great and we only experienced long lines in lido on debarkation morning yesterday. Can't wait until my next HAL cruise!☺️
  10. We received the same Neptune offer yesterday, too, @FlaMariner. I didn't even want to consider it because 1) our Signature Suite is on the "view" side of the ship (starboard) and 2) we didn't want to chance ending up with that one lone aft Neptune. I know that some people love the aft suites, but I prefer to not have to walk the entire length of the ship to get to the Crow's Nest. We are very content with our Signature Suite. ☺️ See you onboard! Cheers, Annie
  11. See you on board, @Roz! We're flying away tonight and will arrive into Santiago Thursday morning. I figured there would be a small number of kids on board, but zero? This trend will probably continue on the next cruise.
  12. I am boarding Oosterdam for a 17 night cruise from Santiago, Chile to Ft. Lauderdale. A couple of weeks ago I was offered an upsell from our veranda cabin to a Signature Suite for $799 per person. I passed. Then last week I received another offer for a Signature Suite for $499 per person. I took that offer. I hope you are able to get the deal that you want, but IMHO, $1499 per person is pretty expensive.
  13. I love kids, I truly do, but I still book cruises that I think not a lot of kids will be on. I don't think this will affect any of the cruises I'm currently booked on. On Friday we'll board Oosterdam in San Antonio, Chile for a 17 night cruise up the west coast of South America, through the Panama Canal, to Aruba, then into Ft. Lauderdale. I am betting there will be less than 10 children onboard. So this change will not be bothersome at all. If you're not too keen on sailing with loads of kids, avoid holiday cruises and cruises in the height of summer.
  14. Thank you so much, Jacqui and everyone else! Hubby Kevin and I are both so very excited for this cruise and we are very much looking forward to NO SNOW! Winter is still in full swing here in Fairbanks, and we cannot wait to get out and go south! From the top to the bottom. Bring it on! Packing starts tomorrow morning. We fly away on Tuesday night. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa! Woot woot! Thanks again for the kind send off!😊 Cheers! Annie
  15. Even the veranda cabins on deck 8 are covered.
  16. If you ho to the HAL website, there is a small banner on the bottom of the screen.
  17. Most plugs don't have the middle prong. A European adapter will work.
