Thank you for the ID of Hamburg. I don’t know if I would have been able to figure out what ship it was on my own. I’m glad you liked the layout of the Harmony BW cabin. I really did not like the layout of the one we had on Oasis at all. It felt really cramped to me. I was in the “never again in this category” after the Oasis cruise but after seeing the Harmony layout and having a DH who absolutely loved people watching on the Boardwalk I decided to give it another try on Wonder. I do like the fact that even though we’re in an inside facing cabin I will still be able to see the ocean from our end cabin.We also enjoyed being able to watch everything going on in the AquaTheater. I do think I’ll miss my quiet aft facing balcony from our last cruise on Odyssey though. Safe travels home and thank you for a very enjoyable and informative review.

I’m glad to hear that you’re doing much better and that you were able to do aa big therapy day! Also glad that this knee replacement seems to be doing so much better than your first one. Maybe going through another round of therapy will help your first knee replacement do better too. I love your dogs! They’re doing a great job helping with your recovery! 🐶🐶

😂🤣 Did Harmony get a new lifeboat? 🤣😂 Sorry, I couldn’t resist! I’ve seen many comparison photos of other ships with Oasis class ships but that’s probably the biggest difference I’ve seen.

Even though we have done a number of Western Caribbean cruises, we’ve never been to Routan. We’re scheduled to go there on our September 2024 Wonder cruise. I just booked the Maya Key excursion to lock in the Black Friday price, but may decide to switch to an independent tour provider after I do a little more research. I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Victor Bodden. I have heard that his tours are good.

Soda package on all 3 of my booked cruises has been $9.99/pp/pd since I booked them. Went down to $8.99 on all three sailings. I doubt it will go much lower than that so I booked them and will cancel and rebuy if they go lower. Internet one device when I booked all 3 cruises was $20.99. Over the past approximately 2 weeks it went up to $22.99. It is now on sale for $20.99, same as it was before it went up. I did save about $20/pp on an excursion in Routan that I had been watching. Labadee prices are looking good on some excursions but they are not live yet. Hopefully soon.

I’m also hoping that you will be doing a Symphony review! I’ve always enjoyed your reviews in the past.

Greg, you and the pups look very comfortable on that couch! Lizzie and the tennis balls - adorable! It always amazes me how well our animals know when we’re not feeling well and jump right in there to try and comfort us. Of course, my cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛were a bit smaller than your dogs are so they weren’t taking up as much of the couch as your pups do! 😹😹 Hope you’re starting to feel a little bit better as each day goes by and are resting comfortably.

We don’t normally do Boardwalk Balconies, especially ones with that big ugly purple slide, but we’re doing one on Wonder next year since DH really loved the one we did on Oasis before she got amped and had that slide installed. Me, not so much, but I do think the cabin layout on the Wonder will be better. We almost booked the exact same cabin as you’re in now but really wanted the very last cabin so we’re on deck 11, same side as you. I’ve appreciated your pictures of your view and am hoping I’ll do better than I usually do at managing the zoom on my camera to make up for how high we’ll be. We sailed Harmony last year, but they hadn’t restarted Columbus yet. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see it. Now that you mentioned flying sharks 🦈 and flying cheeseburgers 🍔 you’ve got me hooked! I’m going to have to seriously think about booking another Harmony cruise! 😀 🛳️

You have a great attitude, @Sea Dog! I know you’ll do well. I got way out of shape when my kneees and hips were so bad. It hurt too much to move, so I didn’t move much. Now, years later I’m still trying to get back into shape. Having a cruise filled with fun activities definitely helps me to stay motivated.

I’m glad to hear that your surgery is over now any you can get on with the good stuff - recovery! Hopefully you’ll have a great therapist and you will develop the habit of doing the rehab exercises you’re given. I’m a month shy of 8 years out from my knee replacements and I still include my leg strengthening exercises as part of my regular exercise program. Knee replacements notwithstanding, it’s important to do strength training as we get older so that we’re able to keep doing all of the fun things we enjoy so much. Use that aft cabin on Beyond as your motivation and I’m sure you will be ready to do any walking you want to on that cruise. 🛳️

We aren’t on Wonder until September, @BillOh, but I know how well you research so I’m tagging along on your thread to benefit my own research. I’ve already read some of the reviews on here and was convinced to go ahead and give Wonder a try. Yes, I’m talking about you in particular @OCSC Mike 😂 but I’m always looking for more info.

We had an aft cabin on Freedom too. All of the walking it made me do was definitely good for me and good for my then 6 month old replacement knees. I showed my surgeon pictures of some of the things we did like snorkeling and parasailing and he was thrilled to see that I was putting my new knees to good use. 😎

Great video, SeaDog! It most definitely makes me want to book a trip with Captain Tom at Chillout Charters! I hope that your knee surgery goes well. It’s on Friday, I think 🤔. You’ve been through having one knee replaced so you already know the drill and how important is is to do your post surgery rehab. By the time you sail on Beyond you’ll be walking pain free and wondering like I was when we went on my “Freedom of the Knees” cruise why it took so long to go ahead and get my replacements done. Yes, that cruise was on Freedom of the Seas 😂 and yes, we had a great cruise!

I’m so happy for you that you finally got a move in date! Hope you have a great view from your newly refurbished apartment. Another cruise booked is the icing on the cake. You’re right -life is good! Enjoy it!

@DragonOfTheSeas, thank you for the update. I’ve been wondering if you and your DH had managed to get home yet. It must have been quite the fall! I hope that you are able to get him out of the hospital soon, and get both of you safely home. I’m happy to hear that you have trip insurance. It certainly does make a big difference when the time comes that you need it. Your story is a good example of why having insurance is a good idea. You may never need it, but that one time that you do it can be life changing.

It’s going to be hard to top the other two beach days that you’ve had on this cruise, at least based on my idea of what makes a perfect beach day. Mermaid Beach and the one I’m having a senior moment and can’t remember the name of at the moment are exactly what I picture a perfect beach day to be. Coco Cay, while it is a nice beach day is not my perfect beach day. Yes, I go out there and yes, DH has to drag me out of the ocean and back to the ship at the end of the day. It’s still a very nice place to spend the day

The only day lunch was available on our Allure 3 day was day 1 at $15.99. I booked it so we wouldn’t have to deal with the buffet. Oh, and I really do want to try the filet at that price! 😋 The sale wasn’t available for lunch on our Wonder cruise as several others have said. Dinner on that one was $39.99.
