  1. You can do My Time Dining which is pretty similar to Free Style.
  2. Yeah… and for colder Solarium due to this… I am ready to lead. 🙂
  3. We are interested too.. Ready to book Symphony for May/June, Liberty for August/September, Odyssey for Thanksgiving…. Or whatever will be there for those dates
  4. We never were very loyal till after pandemic ... next cruise will be a tie for RCI and other 7 lines 31 times with Royal vs 31 with others 🙂 , but for us Royal offers a nice variety of various ships. We cruise from Vision to Oasis classes every year (except for Radiance class which escapes us for some reason.) From now on we may look to other lines for some exotic itin once in a while (NCL can surprise) or Celebrity as a sister line.
  5. We like cruising from NJ and MD... it is just longer cruises. We spend nice time in solarium and around the ship. And we have easier way getting to and from the ship. Also if last day is midweek, I can start working right away and save PTO day for another cruise. 😉
  6. Thank you… hopefully it will be less snowy in March. 🙂
  7. For me iMessage (Iphone application) does not work without paying for WiFi on ships. Never worked.
  8. - I don’t overcrowd my cabin. Everything that cannot be wrinkled is packed in ziplocks of different sizes. They go in ziplocks on various shelves. Of course 6-8 blouses and 3-4 dressy jackets get hanged. Everything is unpacked pretty fast. - I walk with my luggage from the ship ASAP. If it’s not a weekend I work from my car while we drive home (gotta save PTO days 🙂 ) - Everything that I wore (pulled from ziplocks or from hangers) gets washed and put back to the luggage to wait to the next cruise (we have 5 from September to May) in our spear bedroom. After May’s cruise summer clothes are moved to my closet. I’m always prepared as with 5 cruises I don’t take additional days before cruise (must save PTO days). I just don’t think additional clothes which I may or may not wear is a problem. For 2 of us we bring midsize bag for my husband. Mid-to-large for me. Backpack with all kind of toiletries, 1 pair of swimming wear and electronics
  9. I always overpack and don’t see any issues with this, I bring more clothes than I wear as I don’t always know what I will want to wear. Worse comes to worst I won’t wear some clothes. 🙂 All I bring do fit into one mid-to-large piece of luggage.
  10. I’m very sorry… smartphone then can be of great help…
  11. There is lounge. No access for several hours, Honestly after RCI switched from unlimited drinks in this lounge to vouchers you can use in any bar … lounge isn’t that important for many. Many Diamonds and upper just skip it anyway. We may grab several snacks, but we rarely are in lounge itself. You aren’t missing much. It’s open for limited breakfast, coffee etc for all. And on most sailings ads are allowed at HH too.
  12. People who like to shop in stores still can … Technology allows me to avoid this. For people who work a lot and wish not to spend time in stores (I’d rather have a picnic by the ocean if I have time) it’s priceless.
  13. Which half of places? I’m yet to sail on cruise (last 3 after this change) where Diamonds are excluded from Happy Hours in Crown lounge (and this is only for 3 hours.. includes snacks). Also Diamonds do have 4 drinks per day, free photos and other benefits. How is this an equivalent if Gold (starting level) ?
  14. We cruised with 8 lines, but from 2016 when we had only 5 cruises with Royal we started cruising 5 times a year. More and more with Royal… because Royal offers lots of choices from NJ, Boston and Baltimore (all within driving distance). Also because Royal offers pretty cheap WiFi so I could work from the ship some days. Also if we return midweek I start working from the car on our way home. 🙂 We used to drive to Florida once a year.. not anymore with nice choices available here. It’s all about priorities. My grandfather managed to go on Mediterranean and some other cruises and counters out of USSR in 1960-80ies… Now that was a challenge!
  15. I don’t get this attitude at all. Especially when when money are mentioned. Often people cruise more not because they are rich or something, but because they made it a priority. And while you appreciate discounts others people appreciate other benefits. No need to mock them. 🙂
  16. I cruised less before technology. 🙂 I started cruising 5 times a year when good and cheap internet became available. Good thing we have a choice not using something if we don’t need to, or use it if we need to. Simpler life included so many inconveniences. For example I hate wasting time shopping in stores… and now I don’t even need to do this. How is this complicated? 🙂
  17. Are you on cruise now or is it future one? If future, no other shows are required reservations so you will see it was a part of program when on board. Show in two70 will have open entry 15 minutes prior to the show.
  18. iPad is almost identical to iPhone. Not all of them can be used to call. 🙂
  19. What an interesting choice of words. Are you “controlled” by computer? 🙂
  20. We had worse food on our first several RCI cruises in 2004-2009. Some days are worse than others, but we always have something we like.
  21. We get free prints every cruise.
  22. We sailed on Anthem once or twice per year since 2016. 3 main shows (We Will Rock You, Gift, Spectra’s Cabaret) are still on. We don’t get bored as we watch headliners which change and enjoy lounge musical entertainment.
  23. On Anthem we had Kettles in all our insides and balconies. This is because in warmer time ship sails from UK.
  24. I read horrible reviews about every single cruise ship we took. We loved absolute majority of cruises we took. We sailed on Adventure 3 times. Once to Bahamas and twice to Canada. Lovely ship. We enjoyed their ship orchestra. Conductor is a great guy
