I will give you an example. Open any of your future 11-12 dayer and you will see current 7 day menu including Bon Voyage on day #7... Last 4-5 days will miss menus. Then it changes when cruise comes. We sailed on Anthem and until she started sailing from NJ menu for our Thanksgiving cruise was not showing free lobster at all.

I think it always shows current sailing menus even if you choose your sailing.

It should be a - Taste of Royal night - Longer than 5 (6?) nights? - Not all itins have it. I think it is on itins from US.

It depends on what kind of services. Microwaves are not something standard.

I am also in IT. We experienced several days of spotty internet on Anthem in January 2023 when switch to Starlink was happening, but this was it. Even on old Enchantment that was fine.

We cruise 5 times a year. In the last several years it was Anthem 3 times, Liberty twice, Enchantment, Adventure .. .I am missing something. We always have internet and always use it in cabins too.

Agree. We sailed on her in May (Bermuda) and in September (NE/Canada) and LOVED it! We thought entertainment was one of the best too.

1. Some people drink 1-2 glass of wine, and some just cannot stop. Should people proudly post that they do not drink wine, because there are alcoholics drinking their brains out or drinking while driving? 2. You can adjust settings in smartphone to be less monitored by so called big brother, but there is some degree you can be monitored even while using flip-phone.

We did 8 hours tour when Anthem did 8 night itin and spent full day there and we still would have more to explore.

With Odyssey replacing Anthem I'd say kids will be able to use pools on the third day if it is not too cold in Florida.

We just sailed for #7 time on Anthem after pandemic and the only thing I missed in Windjammer were vegetable smoothies we had last year for breakfast. Everything else was adequate.

It is easy. There are millions cruisers and a small number of something. People have different approaches to vacations. Aside from people for whom money do not matter (matter, but on the different level), there are people who would take less vacations, but will go all in. Royal knows it, so they can try to get as much money as they can. Worse comes to worst they will sell it at discount.

I also see way more people presenting passports on checkin. Not all of course, but way more than 20 years when we started cruising. You can get more hints. I am not sure why you feel we need to argue about this. I stated why passport is important. Given that you only need 1 passport for 10 years this should be an easy decision, but you do you of course.

Is this a serious question? I am in cruise groups for a long time, and I see a reaction. It used to be a strong opposition, but now most people will advise you to get a passport. People finally getting used to idea of having passports.

It was tough on Explorer… no indoor pool or solarium. Vision usually doesn’t have many families. Also people get used to good fast. Solarium and whole setup is one of reasons we sail twice on this type of ships. For Thanksgiving and longer cruise in January. We live in Solarium. I see several issues. 1. Kids in Solarium 2. Colder Solarium. Indoor family pool is a buffer between Solarium and outdoors. Also towel station is now inside (in Indoor pool section), but will be outside.

Let’s say something happen, for example you didn’t get on ship on time or got into hospital and need to fly home. You cannot fly without passport. I believe long time ago you could fly without it.

But this is why most of people now do get passports.

Yeah… and for colder Solarium due to this… I am ready to lead. 🙂

We never were very loyal till after pandemic ... next cruise will be a tie for RCI and other 7 lines 31 times with Royal vs 31 with others 🙂 , but for us Royal offers a nice variety of various ships. We cruise from Vision to Oasis classes every year (except for Radiance class which escapes us for some reason.) From now on we may look to other lines for some exotic itin once in a while (NCL can surprise) or Celebrity as a sister line.

We like cruising from NJ and MD... it is just longer cruises. We spend nice time in solarium and around the ship. And we have easier way getting to and from the ship. Also if last day is midweek, I can start working right away and save PTO day for another cruise. 😉
