  1. That sign has been there so long it has cobwebs and I think it has been fastened the floor as a standard fixture on all of the ships. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. Did I say I was in prison? Reread what I wrote. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. I wonder if that server would get the 20% gratuity We asked one wine sommelier if anyone ever ordered a very expensive bottle of wine and then refused after tasting it. He said it wouldn’t happen. One being the only reason they could refuse it is if it spoiled. He also said that he would discourage serving it because the price doesn’t mean it is better than a lower cost wine and not worth the cost. He said they have those bottles more for show and prestige. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. Another good seafood deal in Detroit. This place was one of Sinatra’s favorite restaurants when in Detroit. The other was Giovanni’s. Lobster onTues for $17.99 and the butter is free https://mariosdetroit.com/special-offers/ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. Makes these a bargain at Costco in FL Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. What cruise line? We were in a Sky Suite. The specialty restaurants weren’t included in the Sky suites. We got free movies but there wasn’t anything we were interest in. We were reimbursed ‘’’for the days in confinement. We were serve any drinks we wanted. They even brought us a 2 liter bottles of bourbon. MM and Woodford. Being confined like that I started to think how bad it is in prison. We had a lot of amenities but it was very depressing being confined in a room and not being able to leave. I am sure that a nursing home or hospital is even worse. Our cabin faced the ocean for every port we were in. We never seen the islands, it was a Caribbean cruise.. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. For me the room service is too restrictive. I have to set a time. I just go by the flow. I don’t want to wake up at a certain time. I find it easier to go to Cafe Al Bacio with both cards and get Americanos and maybe a pastry. Then make sure that we make it to Blu before they close. We had Covid on one of our cruises and confined to our suite. I am tired of room service. Stuff came cold. Not everything that we ordered, and if you didn’t ask for it you didn’t get it. Ex. Celebrity burger. That is what you got, no condiments. Breakfast no butter, jam and etc with the toast unless you requested it and etc. We were in a suite. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. Get in line at Guest Relations with at least a 1000 other passengers to put my name in for a free upgrade. 🙄😱🤣 See the concierge or Maitre D about having dinner at the Captain’s Table and getting a window table during dinner. See about getting an invite for the sail away on the Heli Pad and a bridge tour. 🥱 Put towels and a book from the library on some loungers to reserve them for the cruise. Purchase an elevator pass from housekeeping. 🤡 Now for the serious stuff. Go to the cabin to get our room key and drop off our carry ons Get some to eat if we are hungry. Go to a bar for a drink waiting for the cabins to open. Then go there and do our muster drill if it wasn’t available on the app and then go check in at the station. Check to see if the luggage has been delivered. If it has then unpack Then hang out somewhere with a drink waiting for the sail away. Most times it is on our balcony or sitting at a bar if we are having a good time there. Do what ever you feel like doing. Don’t try to follow what others do. Once on board you will figure it out. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. Worth it if you pay before any price increases.🤑 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. When you get there and plan on taking the ferry don’t stop at the very first Kiosk selling the tokens as there is usually a very long line. Continue further down the pier and you will find another one selling them with no line. If you plan on taking the first ferry after the ship docks walk and don’t take the shuttle. Everyone is waiting for it and it is a free for all. Walking is faster especially if you can’t get on the shuttle and have to wait for the next one. Get in line as soon as you can for the ferry. It will leave as soon as it is filled up and it fills up fast. You will then have to wait a long time for another one. That was our experience a few years ago and things may have changed. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. One thing to be aware of in Bermuda is that the gratuity may be automatically added into the bill. Look very close to your final bill before paying. Many don’t notice that and add another 20%. The prices are inflated enough without giving a tip that would be over 40%. ( 20 % added in and then 20% of that total) We were sitting at the bar in Frog and Onion. A couple next tours had been there before we sat down and were feeling pretty good. They got their tab and said I guess we drank more than we thought. He paid with his credit card and added a tip. The female with him looked at the bill and added some cash as a tip as the BT took the folder away. He said what are you doing and she said paying the tip. He said that he already added in more than 20%. I told them that the tip was already added in to the bill. He said I guess we way over tipped. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. You are in a great cabin. We have been in 1140 many times. There is a door at the end of the hallway that opens to an outside stairs that goes up to the rooftop terrace and also down to the Sunset Bar and also the buffet. It is great to use. We would get our drinks and lounge on the balcony. There were 2 chairs and 2 loungers on the balcony. I would suggest getting about 10 towels from the pool deck to use in your cabin. The shower door tends to leak. We used the towels to soak up the water. We also used the towels to soften up the chairs and loungers. Cellar Masters was one of my favorite bars. They had a great selection of the premium liquors. It is also the bar that makes the drinks for Sushi on 5. If you get on friendly terms with the BT he may make you some of those drinks. I like the bar because it was an easy to walk down the steps for a drink with better spirits and during the day rather quite Happy birthday and many more 🎂
  13. Try a mimosa with some Grand Marnier in it. A passenger ordered a Mimosa at the bar I was sitting at. She told me that the BT made the best mimosa. He told me that he adds Grand Marnier to it. I am not a fan but it gave me an idea and I asked him to make me an old fashion with some Grand Marnier. It added a different twist to it as it adds a little more orange flavor than just using a muddled orange slice. My wife now wants all of them that way when we have them during our HH at home. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. There would be no priority if there was. On one cruise we were on there over 1600 Elite and above. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. Also those that need the sound effect on when playing a game or the keyboard tap noise when typing. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. I never ask anyone what they paid except when it is someone that I know very well and we discuss the prices before we book. I have learned that many times when people tell me how much they paid they really don’t know the true price, they are lying, or don’t think the same as I do. We were waiting to disembark and a passenger sitting next to us said she learned something on the cruise that she never knew before. She was in AQ like we were. She asked us if we knew that passengers in AQ could have dined in a specialty restaurant the first night for free. I said that I didn’t that. She then said that on the first night the server asked her why she was dining in Blu when she could be in a specialty restaurant for free. She said she left and went to Murano and it only cost her $39.00. 🤷‍♂️😱 I then said thanks for the info. I will remember that the next time. 🤗 One person was bragging to us about the bargain price that they paid for the same category that we were in and how hard it as to pay out that much when the final payment was due. I said the final payment should have been less because of the deposit. They said the price they told me was the final payment because the deposit doesn’t count as it is a deposit. The cruise actually cost more than they claimed because they didn’t consider the deposit as part of the cost. 🙄😱🤷‍♂️ They actually paid more than we did but they were happy. My wife’s cousin use to go to Vegas once a year. She always claimed that they came out ahead. We joined them one time. We found that their idea of coming out ahead was that they didn’t spend all the money that they took with them. My idea of coming out ahead is coming back with more than I started with and plus the amount to cover the cost of the trip. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. What are the terms and conditions of that almighty little * after the price match? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. I was told that MSC does not do price guarantee by one of their agents. It would be nice if they did for booking a cruise on board. Happy cruising
  19. I use this one Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. I wear wear my street clothes in the steam room to get them steam cleaned. Works great. 🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. I have received it for a cruise that was 2 days later. I think there is a 3 day max between cruises. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. I was told that a towel over the lounger helps it to get hotter. If it does or doesn’t I always cover the lounger with a few towels. If you plan on using any of the sauna rooms or shower you would probably want to wear a bathing suit. Sometimes I go there wearing regular clothing There is no dress code that I know of. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Curious to know what watches he bought on board. Wonder what would interest a Certified Horologist on board a ship? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. Thanks for the info. This is good info to know incase family members may want to cruise with us happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. If you look at this deck plan for the Beyond they show an inside cabin connected to a Magic Carpet Suite. I don’t know how you get them booked together but they must offer the Retreat Amenities for the inside cabin if they are EG cabin 10180 and 10178 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
