  1. Based on those numbers, I would not want to be on that cruise
  2. I was on Legend in November, it was half full and it was awesome. I was on Sunrise in January and is was much more crowded and I noticed some service issues. But what is being reported now about the current long lines and horrible wait times is the problem.
  3. Carnival is selling some very low priced cruises and packing the ships. Too bad they have decided to do this without having the staff to offer adequate service. I cannot see how this is a good thing. They are giving there past guests a heavily watered down product and they are making a terrible impression on the blue cards. I believe a company's reputation is everything. I know times are tough but will this approach be counterproductive? If people start posting pics and videos of these terrible experiences on several platforms who knows how much damage could be done? Carnival has gotten an unfair bad rap for years.... this won't help.
  4. The latest bonus offers for travel points/miles are often detailed, reviewed, and ranked on line. Google search best cards for travel rewards to see those up to date lists.
  5. Prices on Carnival Liberty 3nt Port Canaveral to Bahamas through 2024 range from $189 to $506 per person for a balcony plus taxes and port fees. Also don't forget parking or whatever other travel expenses and gratuities if you want to cover everything. Op you may also want to keep in mind a 3nt Bahamas cruise is pretty much a party cruise.
  6. I'm not a patient person and I absolutely cannot stand waiting in long lines. I embark and debark after the crowds just to avoid it. If I saw a line like that no way I'm getting in it. I would find a friendly bartender, order my lunch on the app, and have it brought to me.
  7. Anyone experience this problem on non Carnival ships? I guess I'm lucky, I haven't had the displeasure of the smell.
  8. Thank you for your efforts, we all benefit from well raised children.
  9. OP that really sucks and I would be pretty pissed off. I think the more ppl you involve in the process the greater the chance that someone drops the ball. Again sorry you missed your cruise and thank you for sharing your experience, the lesson certainly won't be lost on me.
  10. I have to admit I don't know how fly2fun works but hearing that you missed a cruise cause of a mechanical delay makes me want to not use it. Sorry you missed your cruise. I obsess over the details when I travel and try to build in time for potential problems.
  11. I think you are asking about a sunrise alarm clock, google them they're awesome. I purchased one to use on my past 2 cruises cause I had an inside room booked but I ended taking a balcony on an upsell offer. Didn't use the clock but I think it would be very helpful so you aren't waking up in pitch black.
  12. And it's available in 3oz travel size so it falls within the 311 rule for the airline carry-on restriction 👍
  13. Carry-on size allowance also varies by airline. Ironically Southwest allows some of the largest carry-on and personal bags even though they include 2 check bags in the fare. Most likely because they only use 737's and have lager overhead bins. I fly Southwest often but I still don't check a bag. For me its more about the freedom to not have to wait to check or collect my luggage.
  14. Fascinating conversation here but I have no idea what the h@ll you guys are talking about lol. I hope those scheduled for 6/11 get to cruise. It would be interesting to be on that trip especially if the funnel has a unique temporary design. I would want my pic taken on board with that funnel in the shot. It would be a cool memento.
  15. OP I should have added that the quality of your carry-on makes a big difference. A clamshell type where you can pack each side then close the bag together works best. Make sure you pay attention to size restrictions for carry-on and personal bags with the airlines you use. I use a backpack as my personal bag and I can attach it to my wheeled carry-on for ease of transport.
  16. Several videos on Youtube show packing for a week and even longer with a carryon. Take a look at those videos. I found them very helpful when I made the switch to carryon plus backpack for all travel including week long cruises. The biggest hurdle for me was shoes. I wear size 13 so I had to be strategic to pack gym, pool, and dinner shoes. It's liberating to not check bags at piers or airports. I love to travel and learning how to pack light was a fun challenge. I hope to never go back to big luggage.
  17. Trying to familiarize myself with HAL but I must admit I am not having a ton of success with the search feature on CC and reading the HAL website isn't always helpful as well. Can my DW and I each bring a 750ml bottle of wine with us when board like other lines? Reading the HAL website it sounds like a corkage fee applies but the wine I would bring on would be to enjoy on our balcony. I don't plan on bringing a bottle to dinner. Here is a copy and paste from the HAL website: Revised Policy effective June 1st, 2021 Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages on board for consumption or any other use except as follows: Guests may bring Wine and Champagne onboard, however a corkage fee of USD $20.00 (which is subject to change without notice) will be applied to each bottle (max 750 ml in volume or less). Limitations apply. Wine brought in quantities deemed to be excessive by the vessel or security will be refused. Wine purchased during company-sponsored shore excursions that visit local wineries are exempt from the on-board corkage fee (offer limited to one bottle of wine per person). like other lines? 18. Not sure I would pay $3 for popcorn now that you have food delivered anywhere on the ship using the app for only a couple bucks more.
