cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #151 Share Posted January 8, 2013 wow what a great thread, we are going on Celebrity for the 1st time this year, really want to book AQ...guess the overhang is part of the deal. we were thinking of 1630, any thoughts? thanks in advance, Jo 1630 is 2 decks below the overhang between the lower parts of the struts. Not too bad.
cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #152 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Cruisetrail, you have done an amazing job of putting this altogether to share with all of us. I will be sailing on the Eclipse in Feb and would like your thoughts on aft cabin 1204 on deck 10. Is it a winner , loser or just ok. Thanks, Martha Not a big winner as your neighbors will have a bit wider or really wider balconies.
cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #153 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Ditto what everyone else has been saying about how fascinating this thread is! Now, for me, please. I have of those 1st-off-the-hump rooms - 1243 - on Solstice. It's next to the Royal Suite, I think. Maybe I can make some new best friends. I'd like to see how great the balcony is on it and if it'll be dark! I'll be in NZ and AU for this one in March. Thanks, Cruisetrail. 1243 and 1120 are two best standard cabins on the ship. EatonDoolittle Posted January 8, 2013 #154 Share Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) 1243 and 1120 are two best standard cabins on the ship. BINGO!! I have 1243 for 2 weeks in February on the Eclipse..same location, so I am going to assume it is also one of the best on that ship. I was not going to bother you and ask, but happy you offered the info. Like everybody else, I am loving this thread Thank you Edited January 8, 2013 by EatonDoolittle

cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #156 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Ok 1 more for you how is sky suite 1405 on reflection ? What does it compare to on the other S class ships. Thanks !!! 1405s on the Reflection and the Silhouette are standard for S-Class ships and take place of 1403 on other ships (photo). This terrible piece of equipment is a part of 1405 on the Silhouette but not on the Reflection, where it moved one deck up and now belongs to 1665. You'll have just a lower part of it. Congratulations!
cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #157 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Cruisetrail:Thanks for this amazing thread. We just booked the Eclipse for a two weeks Baltic Cruise. We enjoyed a Celebrity Suite on the Equinox a couple of years ago but last year on the Silhouette opted for two connecting C-1. Our children are teenagers now and felt that we needed the extra bathroom and privacy. I really missed the extra space and decided to book a Corner Aft Sky Suite connected to a Sunset Veranda for the summer. The cabin numbers are 6306 and 6304. It was the only option left for a connecting SS. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks again for this thread!!:):) These are your 6304 and 6306 on the Eclipse. Note identical balconies 7356 and 7358 above. This is 7356: This is 7358: The view from your balcony will be different. There will be a lrge part of the blue roof in front of your balconies. This is actually your 6306:

We've booked cabin 1249 onSolstice for Oct. 2013 and wonder if you have any pictures or comments about this cabin, interested in the view to the sea below. Louise 1249 is very close to 1253: This is 1253:

cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #160 Share Posted January 8, 2013 We are in 2105 on the eclipse. You have it marked yellow? What are the problems? 2105 has a large balcony but it is under public restroom. So it's "yes or no".
cruisetrail Posted January 8, 2013 Author #161 Share Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) This is an amazing thread but now I have looked through it I am concerned about our cabin choice. We are on Eclipse in April and in cabin 1597 - do you have any photos of this and any comments please? 1597 is inder the overhang, partially observed from hump balconies. Just curious as to why being under a public restroom would be a problem? Doesnt seem like a big deal.

GeorgesGal Posted January 8, 2013 #171 Share Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Cruisetrail, thanks so much for this informative thread. In part 1, you critiqued the cabin sizes, and you are the FIRST person I've seen mentioning the cramped cabin layouts! I was wondering if anyone else on CC felt the same as I did when sailing on the Ecipse a year ago. Was beginning to think I was nuts to even think that way. Thank you for the honest assessment! We couldn't even access the whole closet the space was so close - about 8" away from the bed!! And those 'night stands'.... wondered why they even bothered, they were so useless. Just a pair of glasses and a glass of water fit on them. The book had to go on the floor. Again, thank you for all your work. Would you have any information on 9192 on the forward hump? cruisetrail Posted January 9, 2013 Author #175 Share Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) You have been very helpful. Do you by chance have any information on cabin #9366 on the Solstice? Good, bad or ok. First time on a S class ship. Thanks! 9366 on the Solstice It overlooks the roof of Qusine restaurant. High enough. Far from elevators. Not to bad. 9366 is 9370 on the Silhouette: Many cabins are worse than this. Edited January 9, 2013 by cruisetrail
