SinbadThePorter Posted December 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Thanks for the info :D Very helpful If there are two ships in port, as there often are, the public bus fills up very quickly and you may be left at the bus stop for some time. The bus stop outside the frock shop is the first stop you would be unlucky not to board i,m sure standing room is available as well Aussie
scotslizzy Posted January 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2018 We will be visiting Dunedin in Feb but have not booked any tours as yet .My question is will there be tour operators at the dock so that we can decide on the day or is it better to try and arrange something beforehand ? Thanks Scotslizzy

Thanks Scotslizzy We always use Good Company as they are very reliable and a full refund will be paid should your ship be unable to dock due to bad weather. They are also so much cheaper than booking through the ship and will get you back in plenty of time . If there is something you really want to do it is always best to book tours before hand as the tours book out fast. https://www.goodcompanytours.co.nz/ Cheers Trish
retyredgreynomad Posted January 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Plenty of choices inside the large embarkation shed when you get off the ship, lots of Tourist Council tour operators. We went on the Lanarch Castle, City and Country bus tour with HeadFirst Hop on Hop off Tours, can't remember the cost but we'll worth it. Leaves from just outside the wharf. scotslizzy Posted January 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Thanks for all the info. I am not keen in organising too much in case of changes to the schedule but on the other hand don't want to come a long way then miss out on good tours !
