FirstAnthem Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Our first port stop is Port Canaveral for our cruise in February. We are trying to decide between going to Kennedy Space Center or staying onboard. What activities do they have for kids onboard on a port day, besides a less crowded pool? Are the bumper cars and Northstar up and running? Just wondering if there will be enough for my kids to do if we stay onboard. I have looked at past Cruise Compasses but am having trouble finding one for a very recent 8 day Bahamas cruise on Anthem. Thanks for any help! :)
Rare mom says Posted November 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I would suggest that you ask this on the Royal Caribbean line forum since your question is ship specific.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I agree with mom says and this is its link to the RCI Board. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=83 Keith

leaveitallbehind Posted November 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Most, if not all, of the ship activities will be open in port. The Casino and shops will be closed, but there will be plenty to do on board if you decide not to get off the ship. ...and this would be the case with all RCI ships in ports of call, not just Anthem. SbbquilterUT Posted November 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2017 If you have never done the Cape visit, it is great and could be done on your own rather than through an excursion.
TimeToGetNauti Posted November 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2017 I couldn't find an 8 day sailing but here is the cruise compass for a 7 day Bahama sailing. Maybe this will help. https://www.******************.com/cruise-compasses/anthem-of-the-seas/sun-2017-03-19-0000 Sent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app
mpsrtpsi Posted November 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2017 We just came off of the anthem of the Seas that made a stop at Port Canaveral. All the activities are open except for the shops and casino. We made the day trip over to the NASA Center and it was very very enlightening. If you've never been to the NASA Center I will take this opportunity to go. You still have enough time to get back to the ship and enjoy some of the amenities.
