Day 1 - October 24, 2015 - Departure

We woke up around 9am and had a not so great "continental" breakfast. We realized we had 4 beers left from the night before. As terrible as it sounds, we knocked back two of them around 10am, shoved the other 2 in our backpack, and headed off to the port. Heck, we're on vacation right? (don't judge me, I already judged myself, HA!) We used an off port parking and made it to the ship check in by 10:30/10:45. Check- in was easy. However, issues came up fast.

We sat next to this very kind couple and began good conversations. We noticed it was now 11:45 and no one was called to board as guests were still coming off the ship. Our cruise was sold out and the place was PACKEEEDD!! There was now standing room only. We noticed our boarding passes had no boarding time on it. So I approached a lady, she took our passes and came back with them stamped for PRIORITY!!! HEEEYYYY!!! She said, "Congrats on your engagement and you'll be boarding shortly." Sure enough around noon priority boarded.

We made it on ship and raced up to the buffet as we now had 2 beers in us and only some crappy bagel that tasted like stale bread. We had to hit up Guys. Oh man was it good! We ended up getting some frozen mango mint mojito thing with spiced rum in it. Whatever it was, it was amazing. You've gotta try it. After lunch, we headed to our stateroom to drop off our luggage.

Our room, welllllll, it was falling apart.... Literally. The floor was crumbling underneath the carpet. We called our room steward Daisy and she said that the concrete in several rooms is crumbling and they "Don't have time to fix it." Ummmmm..... hello..... feels like someone dropped 2 bowling balls next to each other on the floor. It was also by the bed too.

THANKS EVERYONE!!! Part 2 of Day 1 should be posted by tonight 9pm Eastern Standard Time if not sooner.

Continuation of Day 1

Daisy reassured us that our floors would be okay to walk on and they understood if the hole got larger. I really wished they would have moved us, but there was no way since we were sold out and we weren't going to be the people that demanded some form of refund or credit to our account.

After leaving the room, as you can see, we began to explore the ship for several hours. We then explored the spa and talked about package options. We decided not to get the couples massage and save the money towards our honeymoon in November of 2016.

By the time we were done exploring, it was probably close to 6pm. We decided to make some drinks in our room, get ready, and head down to dinner. For those of you wanting to know how we took drinks on.... AMAZON - Sunscreen Flasks and Portashots from Total Wine. EVERYTHING made it on. And the boat still made drink money off of us.

We finally departed Miami around 7 or 8pm. From there, I can't remember what we did after dinner. I'm pretty sure we just went to the casino and called it an early night. I'll consult the video footage later.

Sorry for the delay. The holidays put me a little behind. I now have the Day 2 video rolling on Youtube!

DAY 2 VIDEO HERE -

Day 2 - At Sea

We woke up and immediately we thought to head down to the Sea Day Brunch around 11am. We were seated with about 6 people. Met two fantastic ladies and shared conversations over a basket of muffins. BTW the chocolate muffins are to die for. Everything else is dry or just okay.

We weren't too impressed with the breakfast. We both ordered the steak and eggs as well as the frosted flake french toast to try. Do yourself a favor and skip both. It took roughly 2 hours for the whole process. However, we did the sea day brunch on our last day at sea and it was MUCH better.

By this time it was about 1pm and we headed to the casino to play in the Blackjack Tournament. We lost even though we had GREAT hands. It was fun to play. Around 2pm we headed to the pool, shared a Red Frog Beer tube (amazing), danced, tanned, and swam. Sometime around 6pm I fell asleep in the room and my fiance won $200 at the casino. Guess I'm better luck when I'm not nearby putting in my 2 cents. I woke up around 8pm and we headed to a DELICIOUS dinner. I had some fantastic pasta dish with italian sausage.

We ended up calling it a night shortly after that as we had an early morning in Grand Turk.

This was my view for the day.
