ColSavLan Posted April 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Fellow cruisers, do you recommend Carnival Triumph or Carnival Elation and if willing, please tell me why you recommend that one.
jesscruiser Posted April 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Fellow cruisers, do you recommend Carnival Triumph or Carnival Elation and if willing, please tell me why you recommend that one. Elation, the triumph feels too crowded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
h_blond2 Posted April 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2018 Definitely the Elation. The layout of the Triumph felt choppy and constantly felt crowded.
grandmarnnurse Posted April 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2018 The Elation just went through a refurbishment. Choose Elation. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
asalligo Posted April 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I prefer the Elation also due to exactly what was listed above. The design of the Triumph is poor in my opinion and crowding a problem. The Elation now has almost all amenities with the recent 2.0 upgrades. I would personally avoid the front of the ship and those new rooms on deck fourteen with the elevator issues though. nwo4life Posted April 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 26, 2018 Another vote for Elation, unless you want to watch Dive In movies. Triumph has the screen, Elation does not.
Rare Saint Greg Posted April 26, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2018 Triumph. Alchemy Bar. Sports Bar. Seafood Shack. I also like the entertainment better. Triumph still has the older shows with the orchestra pit. They fly in a magician from Vegas for a magic show and a burlesque show. And Triumph has dive-in movies. I also like to stay on Lido deck and fantasy class doesn't have that.
momof4girls Posted April 26, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I’ve been on both, and even though I love the Dive In movies and really enjoy the sports bar, I’d choose the Elation. I felt like the crowds aren’t as “nicely contained” as they are on the Elation. I’ve been on the Dream class and I felt like the crowding wasn’t much of an issue there either. But the Triumph? It was bad. Wayyy worse than I’d ever had before or after. However, sometimes I think the time of when you’re going on the cruise makes a difference. Maybe the Triumph during a non-peak time wouldn’t feel so crowded.
A&Jfamily Posted April 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2018 For me it would depend on when - if you are talking after the Triumph dry dock next year, I would chose her.
justusfour2014 Posted April 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 29, 2018 Triumph. It has great size balconies that include a sofa in the cabin. While Elation has balcony cabins now, they are smaller. We [emoji177] the Conquest size ships - not too big, not too small. Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app

Conquest class has a steakhouse, an extra food venue above Lido and a much bigger Lido buffet that Triumph does not have.
justusfour2014 Posted April 29, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 29, 2018 First, you can ALWAYS count on someone to "correct" you on this page. [emoji849] Second, I did NOT say that the Triumph was a Conquest class ship. Rather I said we [emoji177] the Conquest size ships. Third, have a nice day. djcass4199 Posted April 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 29, 2018 I think the Triumph shares the same layout as the Victory and also the Destiny before she was Sunshined. We have been on Triumph out of NOLA but not on Elation. We enjoyed the Triumph and didn't feel the overcrowding. The public spaces were nice.
