Why does the Divina depart so late?

We will be sailing on the Divina on 25 January 2018.

Reading past posts....I think it has to do with International flights. MSC has a larger % of non-usa citizens which cruise this line.

The above post is correct, the departure time is later to accommodate the overseas flight times and schedule . To answer your second question , MSC sails out of the Port of Miami and uses terminal F.

Same reason the San Juan ships dont leave until 11pm, the planes

Our scheduled departure three years ago was at 8pm.

Same on Poesia four years ago.

According to our edocs our check-in time is 15:50 and the ship departs at 19:00 hours. Does anyone know why they depart so late and the pier we will depart from?

You can check in earlier than the time shown.

Enjoy the late departure time. Miami sunset and night scene is beautiful as Divina slowly sails out of the harbor.

Never knew it was because of international flights. Good to know. I like being able to leave later as well.

They start checking people in around 1030 and they leave late waiting for late planes from europe.
