NCL ~ Pier Party

Cozumel ... Several years ago NCL use to have a pier party for guest returning back to the ships. Does NCL still do this?

What NCL was doing was when guest would return back to the ship, there were 2 NCL ships, one on each side of the dock. The ships would compete against each other as to which one could be more exciting then the other one.

Usually held the hour prior to all aboard time. Lots of FUN!!

What do they have at the pier party?

Picture two NCL ships docked next to each other with the wide pier between them. As pax for both ships begin to return, each of the ships have bands or DJ music, dancers, many times officers and no telling who else clapping and dancing to welcome returning pax.

It is an incredible sight! They do try to outdo each other. Pax may be given baloons,cool drinks like water or lemonade, offers to dance and they are the stars of the day.

NCL does a good job here for sure. We have seen this 2-3 times and it is always fun.

Once we board we go to an open deck to continue to watch.

It is funny! Some pax do not know what to expect and others get into it and dance their way to their ship.

We will be on the Pearl NYE sailing and Getaway is the other ship in port at the downtown pier.

How do you know which pier you'll be docked at? We are in Cozumel on NCL Getaway on March 1st, 2019. Nine ships in port!!

The Getaway will be at the downtown pier.

Also know as the Punta Langosta Pier. Small mall across street over a pedestrian bridge. Starbucks, Hooters, and a pretty good Mexican restaurant there. Easy to walk to a lot of downtown.
