Open Seating on the Koningsdam

How does open seating work on the Koningsdam? What are the dining room hours for open seating? Can you make reservations for a specific time or do you just arrive at the dining room and are seated?

When we were on, 5:15 to 9:30. You can show up at any time and ask for a specific size table, or just take whatever space is next available. You can make reservations except at peak times, which I think are about 6:15 to 7:30. I think you can make reservations for 3 nights at a time, but we didn't try that. Unlike most ships, Open and Fixed dining are mixed on both decks 2 & 3.

Generally the same as all other HAL ships. As mentioned, 5:15 to 9pm. You can reserve up to 3 days in advance, but only in the off peak hours (peak hours are usually 6pm to 7pm.)

Can the reservations be made on your stateroom television?

I didn't see that option on the TV (or within the Navigator app).

We never made reservations in 10 days, and the longest wait was 2 or 3 minutes. If you decide to dine closer to 9:00, you will feel a bit rushed, at least we did.

We were a party of 2 and typically showed up anywhere from 7 to 8:30. We never had reservations, never had to wait and never saw anyone waiting. Plus, we were always seated at a table for 2.
