Bringing XBOX or PlayStation on the ship?

If there's an HDMI hookup they should be able to, shouldn't they? Sure the remote itself may not have the ability to change the source, but everyone knows there are 94372 apps to operate a TV and change the source and/or operate the TV with your phone.

Even if they HDMI there is no way to switch the inputs with the remotes

Carnival's website specifically states that

  • Digital Cameras/Camcorders, DVDs/VCRs, USB sticks, iPods, Nintendo/X-Box Play Units cannot be used with the TV in the guest's stateroom or suite as the connection ports are disabled.

I have seen on some sites where people were able to hook into the HDMI port and then change the input using various methods, but from some of the other comments it is definitely hit or miss.

However you could always bring your own small display with you in your carry on and just hook it up to that.
