New ATT plans include Mexico and Canada

Hi,

Is anyone on those new plans with Att? I am considering changing before we sail in 2 wks but was curious if anyone test does it in either countries?

If you have Verizon, don't believe them, their phones and sims don't work in parts of Canada. I have a world phone with a Verizon sim in nova Scotia right now..with no service. My t mobile iPad has great reception.

I've used my Verizon phone all over the world. There's an international setting you have to change; don't forget how to do it now and not sure if it's on the phone or if you call them to fix it. But they are happy to let you rack up roaming charges in other countries.

I've changed that setting so my phone is recognized on gsm networks....it doesn't help here in Nova Scotia.

They work from each area.

We have Verizon and our data plan allows calls from Canada and Mexico. No problem.

AT&T's "no extra cost" inclusion of Mexico and Canada in some of its plans is nothing new. In fact, many of its long term customers (us included) have had it for years. Works just fine.

Turns out that my phone is the problem....my dw's Verizon iPhone 6 works fine in Nova Scotia.
