Where is water island? How do you get there from St. Thomas?

Water Island is south of St Thomas, and is a short ferry ride from the Crown Bay Marina which is west of downtown Charlotte Amalie.

Water Island has been a great place to escape the busy-ness of St Thomas. It is small, quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. I had heard they took quite a hit from the hurricanes, so I am glad to see Dinghy's has reopened. I hope Heidi's is soon to follow.

Could someone elaborate on how to get there? And cost? We are going to he there in December after Christmas. Thanks!

Go to Tickles Restaurant in Crown Bay.If you are docked at Havensight the taxi fare is $12 pp RT. At the end of the dock there is a small Ferry than will take you to Water Island for $10 pp RT. Get off at the pier, walk (or get lucky and catch a ride) up the hill and bear off to the right and down the hill. The Ferry runs on a dependable schedule but is limited to about 18-20 people. Its the bigger of the 2 islands on the port side that you pass just as you come into the port!:confused:
