Update – 09/11/17 – 9:30 PM (EDT)

All ships in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet are safe and our guests on extended voyages are well taken care of and continuing to enjoy a great cruising experience.

PORTMIAMI

Carnival Glory, Carnival Vista and Carnival Victory are returning to Miami and will be in position to dock in PortMiami, contingent on the port reopening tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning. We are in close contact with port officials in Miami and have been informed that port assessment activities are partially complete. Additionally, we have learned that there are two sunken sailboats in the channel that must be recovered prior to the reopening of the port.

Given the uncertainty, we have to further shorten our itineraries on Carnival Vista and Carnival Glory. Unfortunately, we will have to cancel the next cruise on Carnival Victory. I've noticed that both PortMiami and Port Canaveral (and maybe PE? haven't checked recently) are all being very vague about when they might resume normal operations. I assume ('assume') it must be because they are waiting for infrastructure conditions (power, food, lodging, gas, flights) to improve on land.

So whats the problem. You cancelled.

No problem, I was just passing along some info. We cancelled because of flight issues originally although the port and Carnival would later have their own issues.

Ultimately, Carnival cancelled this cruise (Victory 9/12) and Delta ended up cancelling all of the flights we would have been on.
