dolittle Posted October 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2017 I hope this is not true, we have been on the Breakaway 3 times in the last 18months love this ship .I thought it was doing well I hope we wont be left with some older N.C.L ship. Does anyone know what is going to happen.

Does anyone know what is going to happen. So you hope the Cruise Critic article you read contains false information? https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=8108 The Breakaway and Gem are switching homeports in April: Breakaway to New Orleans, Gem to New York. Yes its true. Simply checking the NCL website reveals Gem sailing from NYC between April and October 2018. And Escape sailing from NYC between April 2018 and February 2019. Even though much of NCL's remaining 2019 deployment is known, no further cruises on the Gem or Escape are open for booking. A safe guess one or both will remain in NYC but not yet official.
