Barcelona Shuttle from port?

I don't recall any Princess shuttles at Barcelona when we disembarked there in July. The port is very close to town so we just caught a taxi to our hotel which cost only a few Euros. If they have a shuttle and charged anything at all I'd suggest catching a taxi would be cheaper, and quicker.

Disney offered a shuttle for $5 round trip that went from the terminal to the World Trade area right at the port entrance. From there, you could get public transportation to pretty much anywhere.

Beware of Barcelona taxis. There are add on fares for a pick up at the cruise terminal, Saturday or Sunday transports, etc. We also found that drivers spoke exactly as much English as they wanted to at any given moment. A fare that we were told should be about 7 Euros somehow became 30.

Does Princess provide a shuttle from the ship to Barcelona? How much do they charge? Where do you get dropped off. Thank you.

Try this link, we used them in Barcelona and were very prompt picking us up at the ship and then again 4 days later from our hotel going to airport. https://www.welcomepickups.com/barcelona/

The World Trade Centre is a strange place to be dropped off. Hardly central.

We had no trouble with Barcelona taxi drivers at all although like most places I am sure their are dodgy drivers among them. I don't recall paying any add on fares there but that may have been due to the fact we just grabbed one from the queue and didn't call one for a pick up. There were hundreds there waiting. In fact we found taxi drivers there gave us more info about the city than most other places in Europe.

Are you asking about disembarkation day at the end of the cruise (the answer is "no") or are you asking about when the ship is there for a day as part of a cruise (the answer is "yes"). I do not remember the cost, but it was more than the cost of a public bus available at the cruise terminal. As I remember it, it drops you off between the start of Las Ramblas and the waterfront.

As others pointed out, taxis are available but there is a surcharge.

Minimum fee: €7.00

Pick up or drop off at the Barcelona Cruise terminal: €3.10

So a trip from the cruise terminal to downtown starts out at €10.10. There can be additional fees or charges based on where the dropoff might be and for any luggage in the trunk.

The shuttle is provided by the port and drops you off just outside the port entrance. There is a small fee for the round trip, about €5 pp. On the return to the ship, the shuttle stops at each terminal. As was said, the drop off point is close to public transportation, the HoHo, and easy walking distance to Las Ramblas.

We were in Barcelona last April. Barcelona provides a FREE shuttle which stops at all ship terminals and then drops you off at Columbus statue at foot of La Ramblas. The sign is small and not obvious so you may have to ask someone where to wait for the shuttle. At that time, Princess provided a shuttle for $8 per person.

Was that shuttle stop along the drive near the place the taxis pull in or any other clue as to where you found it?

Free? We've been to Barcelona numerous times and I do not recall ever riding that shuttle for free. In April 2017 we paid, I believe, it was 3 Euros each to the Columbus stop. Here is a link:

Princess does provide a shuttle for a fee - too much at about $12 RT. Better to walk a few feet further down the pier and take the public shuttle which is less than 5 euros pp. You will need to pay in cash. The bus drops you right below the Colon Monument at foot of Las Ramblas. We've used it at least 5 times - easy peasy.

Public shuttle is not free but only about half of what Princess charges.
