I’ve booked quite a few cruises that were completely sold out, including Guarantees, with wait lists over a year in advance. All categories, all cabin types. It does happen.

With one exception, as we got closer to final payment, cabins became available.

I am wondering why this might be?

On this cruise, way far in advance, with only so many cabins booked. all balcony cabins on Baja deck midship and forward sections are showing SOLD OUT. It is like they have been sold as a 'block'?

Is the cruise being sold as b2b's as well as a single cruise? If that is the case certain sections of cabins are held for the different booking options.

Okay, yes, that is it! It is being sold also as a Back-2-Back.

We have a deposit down on the second half of the back-2-back.

Man, I want to snag some seats in the Sanctuary, too!

IDK where your cruise is going, but good luck as the folks doing both legs are going to have opportunity to book before you get on board.
