Just back-

service on the ship was outstanding-. never had a problem getting drinks at the pool or from any bars-. service was always friendly.

I found the Bartenders quick and top notch. I tip on every drink( 1.00) unfortunately no one else tips. not that i saw and i watched. i was pretty amazed how all these fancy dressed cruisers are so cheap....

martini bar=outstanding and fun. great music there most nights.

Bars:: martini bar was our Fav... so much fun. ensemble 5 nice and dark usually mellow and romantic.(perfect). pool bars, mast bar all great and quick-. beer carts during the day from Doctor Milton.. funny guy great server.

entertainment::: from big band to dance to guitars to jazz... all great.

food::: all good. from beef wellengton, Lobster to steak in the MDR... Formal nights we were allowed in the MDR well dressed no jacket no tie=no problem.

mast bar great burgers.

the ship is beautiful. better then the Dawn and Victory by a mile. simply magnificent... the Age of the travelers were down from the 20's to the 50's because of two larg groups pf people on board.( real estate ) and (Abraham Hicks) .... the ships travelers were younger and a lot of fun...

my only and only negitive is the pool entertainment. the last day Friday the house band started at non and had the people dancing and signing. so much fun. the place was hopping with birthday songs and dance numbers. on other days the pool had no music till 2 then it would stop.... oh well.

this was defiently one of my best vacations iv been on.

any questions please ask....

We too were on the same cruise. Loved it so much we booked western a year from now.

I agree with the poolside entertainment. I'd love to hear the steel drum bands as well.

The Sunset bar was the best spot late afternoon for DH and myself. The service Nik provided was beyond excellent. Talk about a bartender that knew his stuff - that was Nik. We also tipped when getting drinks and didn't see anyone else doing that either. To each his own I guess.

Thank you for posting a trip report on the Reflection.

I have just booked it for 2016 because the Constellation has been chartered for our date.

Just some feedback on tipping. Not everyone is cheap as you suspect. We hung out at the Sunset Bar and the Martini Bar and on the last night tipped our regular bartender at each. I don't like walking around the ship with singles all day. Other people just increase their overall tips at guest services.

We were on this cruise also. We agree, it was a wonderful cruise. :)

Hi Texed:)....Glad one of us had a good cruise....I should have done

what you had suggested and jumped ship.....we were docked next

to Sihlouette in Cozumel and oh...how I wanted to sneak across....

(I was on the Spring Break Connie Cruise:eek:)......

There is no way for you to tell who is leaving an extra tip. They could be signing it to their account, giving it at the end of the cruise or giving them a large bill occasionally. Of course the automatic tip has recently been increased to 18% as well.

Agree, it is hard to tell just what is going on with a 'firm' handshake between a bartender and his clients:D

Tommy, why are you assuming other pax are not tipping?.....many of us

take care of the bartenders at the end of the week. I don't carry cash

around during the week......if tipping each drink is good for you then

that is great:)...but you know what they say about assuming?....

is 18% per drink not sufficient?

Yes, it is. Just depends on the person. If I have a specific bar/lounge

that I am in on regular basis and a specific bartender or 2 is always

serving me, I will usually give them something extra at the end of the

week....just my choice.

Bussed my first table in 1968, the wifester and DD servers still.

There are times when a level of service 'feels' or 'seems' like it was given at a higher level. Those times, IMHO which won't change the world ;) are when we have the desire to add something more.

I have never 'tipped' my Barber, yet the wifester always tips her 'stylist'.

Lois,

Sorry your cruise was not up to Celebrity's normal standards. Those shorter cruises can sometimes be amiss.

ITA Tommy!

Great cruise, great crew!

I also did not notice anyone tipping the bar staff...we did every time. Babu was my favorite bartender :) One complaint...the bar staff has gone back to measuring the pour. :(

We had a fabulous team in Blu...Armondo, Rene and Carlos were the best! I can't say enough good things about Henry and Kremi in the casino, WONDERFUL! Marlene the CC hostess remembered our names after having met her just once. Impressive! Did anyone get the name of the gentleman in charge of the pool crew? He would take our order every morning for what kind of weather we would like for the day. :) He was great AND worked as hard (if not harder) than his crew.
