Shelley61 Posted October 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Got off this ship last week (boohoo cruise blues!). It’s the Starboard side. I hadn’t thought of this when we booked our deck 7 starboard balcony cabin which was almost directly above the forward doors, and I was worried that the smell would travel up, but it didn’t. Thanks to all for their responses. Glad the updated responses indicate the starboard side. You should be fine if that's the case.
Jasukkie Posted October 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2017 I recently had a 10th floor balcony on Anthem, on the opposite side of the ship from the official smoking sections, and people were definitely smoking on balconies they weren't supposed to be smoking on. It wasn't heavy enough to be a real problem to me, but I did notice it. Could be a problem for people with allergies or extreme sensitivities. I'm sure this is what you meant, but to sure, there is no smoking permitted on any balcony.
plum24 Posted October 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 8, 2017 People smoking on their balconies drives me crazy. I report it immediately & it gets resolved. Why should I not be able to enjoy my balcony? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes, didn't mean to be confusing there, no balconies allow smoking. I had no idea where the smoke was coming from so I didn't make a complaint. If it had been more constant I would have. The covered smokers area is quite nice, it's not like people don't have a place to go, plus the one side of the indoor pool as well.

Mikew0805 Posted November 6, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 6, 2017 When I was on it last year, smoking was on Port side on deck 11, and Starboard side deck 5. Don't know why they were different sides.
