Uber?

Anyone ever used Uber to get from a Ft. Lauderdale hotel to the port, then port to FLL airport?

Seems like there are lots of happy Uber users in FLL/Miami with lots of posts on this board. Watch out for the surge pricing that can make Uber more expensive than a taxi.

Terrible! We tried three weeks ago and the rate was 3X's normal due to heavy volume. Cheaper and faster to get a cab!

We had a great experience. It was $5.87 to go from our 17th st. hotel to the cruise port. This was for two people with 3 suitcases. He arrived within a few minutes. The driver was nice, and the car was clean. The Uber price always includes the tip, but our trip was so cheap that we gave him a few dollars in cash, and the driver was very happy.

Sometimes Uber will have "surge pricing" where price increases when the demand is very high. But when that happens you get a notification on your phone app, and you always have the option to not choose Uber during surge pricing.
