Ok so to flip it what has been your BIGGEST sea pass account bill on a cruise ?

Recommended Posts

Mine was last week

9 Days on Explorer = $1700 including $300(ish) in Medical centre for a football (soccer) injury, $250(ish) in Spa for my wife, $85 in Portofino for cover charge and a bottle of wine, $200 in ADDITIONAL tips for waiters and bartenders. Add to that at least $500 lost in the casino and I am looking at between $2200 - $2500 for 2 of us on my last cruise.

This will be interesting to watch. :)

But I do have one question...is there a way to view your account balance while on the ship or do they make it hard to find that out?

You can view your account at anytime on the TV in your room.

A little tip........Don't :) it could spoil your holiday.

The thing is if you dont drink beer (which we rarely do) you're going to be looking at around $10 a drink each every time you have a glass of wine or a cocktail or a spirit. 4 or 5 of those each a day and that's $100 a day gone pretty much. Who cares ? You're on holiday.

I don't think you'll be spending too much on shore trips on a TA cruise ;)

It might sound strange to some but we tend to spend more on sea days then days in port...casino, spa, coffee shop, shopping, etc.

What should I be looking at for prices of tours while on the Rhaposdy for next year's Alaska crise? Understand they are pricey and sell out fast.

A little over $5k on a 4 night trip - it was cheaper to stock my bar with alcohol I could buy on board than what I was paying a wholesaler. Luckily, we were traveling with a group, so everyone was nice enough to carry some through customs. :D

$2,600 on a 7 day cruise four years ago on RCI. I bought some beautiful jewellery onboard which I wear very often and have received many compliments on. We just returned from an 11 day Celebrity cruise and they actually owed me $43.00.

We NEVER "charge" our gambling expenses--cash only!...that's a huge factor in a big bill!

Did you do a bunch of B2B's or was it only for one week??

One week. $3000 cash advance at the casino each night. Treated the group to Chops and Portofino's as a reward for a job well done. Drinks, spa for all the wives. It adds up.

We can't compete with who spent the most...OMG $26 grand???...but we have left with a 000 account when we tip in cash. Unfortunately when we get home and see our RCCL Visa bill for the future cruises my husband charged, I sometimes have to blink twice. It's not the down payment, it's the future pay off bills. I just keep telling myself that I'm just that much closer to another free cruise. ;)
