Ok so to flip it what has been your BIGGEST sea pass account bill on a cruise ?

Recommended Posts

Don't know what my maximum spend is - I am careful to a point but without spoiling the holiday and I always have a fab time.

I expect my wedding onboard Serenade was the most expensive though....not $26K mind but I'm sure I wouldn't struggle to spend it... and Im willing to take the challenge if anyone feels like funding it :)

Happy sailing everyone :)

Wow, feeling pretty good about our bills now! Our highest ever was on our first cruise, 11 days on the Splendour. My husband almost had a heart attack when he saw our bill for $800:D. Since then, usually no more than $500. But we use cash for tips and casino so who knows how much we actually spend!

This will be interesting to watch. :)

But I do have one question...is there a way to view your account balance while on the ship or do they make it hard to find that out?

Wake up in the morning, turn on the TV, and "I DID WHAT? I WAS WHERE?"

Every purchase (drinks included) will be listed.

I don't drink that much and I don't gamble at all, so I expect the bill will be very low. I think on the last cruise it came to about 200 dollars all told, and I was shocked even then because I didn't know what I'd bought to make it that high.

I did have a couple of drinks and had charged an excursion on it, so that explained it, but it sure is easy to forget if you don't keep track of it!

I'll probably loosen up a little on my upcoming cruise.

Last cruise in Feb was a 4 nighter, bill was $302 and we had brought $200 cash onboard but didn't spend all of it:), We played bingo three nights, hit the casino several times, bought more pictures than necessary and drank a little.

Since redeeming Royal Carib. Credit card points for OBC it's been a lot better.......first Celebrity cruise was over $3000, 2nd over $5000...much lower since then, average even without the OBC is about $1000 for a 7 nighter...biggest difference is we no longer do spa appointments...found they are less than satisfying, very over priced and done better on land!!!! Other than that we do what we want and pay up at the end!!!

Guy next to me in line on Oasis had a bill of $5200. He was from England and his card was only approved for $5000. He actually said, well, I guess I have to go to the casino! :) Don't know what happened.

Well this is scary, if he was only approved for 5000.00 how did he charge 5200.00? I was under the impression that the cruise line shuts you off when you hit your limit.

This Aug we are sailing Liberty with our 4 kids (ages 10-29). We have not cruised in years. Back in the day, we blocked the kids ability to charge anything on their cards. This time, we foot the bill- celebrating birthdays etc- so I expect the tab to be significant. Good news is only 2 are able to drink on board- 20 yr old won't be 21 until Nov:D
