Pam in CA Posted June 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2010 When booking through Princess directly, when do they typically require final payment?Depends on the itinerary and time of the year. Normally, it's due the latest at 75 days but for holiday, longer cruises and prime cruising periods, it can be 90 days. Most TAs give you a final payment date a few days before the final payment date to make sure they process all of the payments and if there are problems (i.e., someone's forgot they have a new expiration date), they have time to correct it. paul929207 Posted June 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2010 For most cruises on Princess it is 75 days before you board. For the long cruises, it is earlier
Dodger Blue Posted June 23, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted June 23, 2010 This is the first time I've booked directly through Princess. I used a FCC for the deposit. It's 93 days before we sail. I haven't heard anything from them. I'm assuming they will notify me when they want the final payment. I just don't want to lose the booking if I don't pay in time. You'll be notified, but why not turn your booking over to a TA who will discount whatever price you are paying.

The due date, I believe, is reflected in your Cruise Personalizer.

You should have received a booking confirmation which will have all the details of your booking, including the final payment date. You can also call at any time and make final payment. :)
