leith Posted December 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2010 I am sailing on the Crown in March and my DH is Canadian and loves English food. We did not make it in to the pub last time (is it the wheelhouse??) Does the Crown have it? I was looking on the Princess website and could not locate it. I will be bummed for him if it is not there. Thank you for the help.

RickEk Posted December 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2010 I'm still wondering why, on the Crown Princess, they have the Pub Lunch in the Wheelhouse Bar instead of the Crown Grill (like they do on the Caribbean Princess)...
Rare 5:00_Somewhere Posted December 22, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2010 I could be mistaken but, if I recall correctly, the Caribbean is the only ship where they have the Pub Lunch in the Crown Grill. All the other ships we've been on in since they rolled it out have had it in the Wheelhouse.
Talisker92 Posted December 23, 2010 #8 Share Posted December 23, 2010 We just got off the Coral Princess, and they served the pub lunch in Bayou. They even had Boddington's ale!
Toddy709 Posted December 23, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2010 On the Ruby it was in Wheelhouse. On the Golden it was in Crown Grill.

RickEk Posted December 23, 2010 #13 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Thank you for the help! He will love it! Just to be sure, the Crown does have the Wheelhouse, right? Yes... I believe that all Princess ships (except for the little girls) have a Wheelhouse Bar.
IECalCruiser Posted December 23, 2010 #14 Share Posted December 23, 2010 The Pub Lunch is usually offered on sea days. Just check the Patter each day to see where it will be, Wheelhouse Bar or Crown Grill, on the Crown.
Busy Mum Posted December 23, 2010 #15 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Hi everyone, Just double checking - is this lunch offered on the Diamond Princess. My DH and I are travelling on her to New Zealand on 15th January (can hardly wait) - DH is English and I know he would just love this, so would I for that matter!!! Thanks heaps and Merry Christmas to everyone. Vicki.
darkbeholder Posted December 24, 2010 #16 Share Posted December 24, 2010 Hi Vicki, I just got off the Diamond in Sydney on Wednesday and the pub lunch was on 4 or 5 times over the 17 day voyage. Just for the list of places it can happen it was always in The Savoy dining room on the Diamond. Nick
kingofnull Posted January 3, 2011 #17 Share Posted January 3, 2011 Does it need to be an alcoholic drink? Some of my cruise mates are abstainers.
IECalCruiser Posted January 3, 2011 #18 Share Posted January 3, 2011 The fish n' chips is great. You need to purchase the beverage - they have some great ales on tap.:) Does it need to be an alcoholic drink? Some of my cruise mates are abstainers. You don't need to buy any drinks - you can just have water, tea or coffee. The food is no extra charge - you just need to pay for soft drinks or alcohol as elsewhere on the ship.
Putterdude Posted January 3, 2011 #19 Share Posted January 3, 2011 In the Diamond and the Sapphire the pub lunch is held in the Savoy and in the Grand it's in the Painted Desert.
