Wheelhouse Pub

I am sailing on the Crown in March and my DH is Canadian and loves English food. We did not make it in to the pub last time (is it the wheelhouse??) Does the Crown have it? I was looking on the Princess website and could not locate it.

 

I will be bummed for him if it is not there.

Yes, the english pub is in the Wheelhouse on sea days...

I really enjoyed the pub food...fish and chips, Ploughmans lunch and pot pie. I hope you can get to it this time:)

The fish n' chips is great. You need to purchase the beverage - they have some great ales on tap.:)

I'm still wondering why, on the Crown Princess, they have the Pub Lunch in the Wheelhouse Bar instead of the Crown Grill (like they do on the Caribbean Princess)... :confused:

I could be mistaken but, if I recall correctly, the Caribbean is the only ship where they have the Pub Lunch in the Crown Grill. All the other ships we've been on in since they rolled it out have had it in the Wheelhouse.

We just got off the Coral Princess, and they served the pub lunch in Bayou. They even had Boddington's ale!

On the Ruby it was in Wheelhouse. On the Golden it was in Crown Grill.

The Wheelhouse Bar is mid-ship forward on deck 7 between Crooners and the Princess theater

English Pub Lunch varies by ship. On our last three cruises:

 

• Golden - Hawaii RT - Crown Grill
  
• Star - South America - Crown Grill
  
• Coral - Voyage of the Glaciers - Bayou Cafe

Yes... I believe that all Princess ships (except for the little girls) have a Wheelhouse Bar.

The Pub Lunch is usually offered on sea days. Just check the Patter each day to see where it will be, Wheelhouse Bar or Crown Grill, on the Crown.

Just double checking - is this lunch offered on the Diamond Princess. My DH and I are travelling on her to New Zealand on 15th January (can hardly wait) - DH is English and I know he would just love this, so would I for that matter!!!

I just got off the Diamond in Sydney on Wednesday and the pub lunch was on 4 or 5 times over the 17 day voyage. Just for the list of places it can happen it was always in The Savoy dining room on the Diamond.

You don't need to buy any drinks - you can just have water, tea or coffee. The food is no extra charge - you just need to pay for soft drinks or alcohol as elsewhere on the ship.
