alcie Posted February 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2011 We're on FOS 7/17 sailing and it looks like all of the oceanview rooms are already sold out. Has anyone ever seen any price drops on cruises during a busy season?
gerif Posted February 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Uh, how can the drop prices if they have nothing left to sell?
waterbug123 Posted February 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2011 We're on FOS 7/17 sailing and it looks like all of the oceanview rooms are already sold out. Has anyone ever seen any price drops on cruises during a busy season? It depends on how many rooms in other categories remain unbooked. If insides or balconies don't sell as quickly as they anticipate, the prices on those could go down. But July is prime time for family cruises (i.e. demand will be high) so I wouldn't hold my breath. bluefintuna Posted February 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2011 There is really no telling how many cabins are available as they only show a few at a time. We have called and asked to see several cabins and they called off maybe ten cabins or so. Then we go to deck plans for the best deck and we prefer midship to aft. cruiseguy1016 Posted February 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2011 If the cabins are selling out at the existing price, why would they lower the price? If anything, I would expect the prices to be going up.
Merion_Mom Posted February 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2011 It's just the *cheap* cabins that are disappearing. PLENTY of balcony cabins in all categories, LOTS of JS, LOTS of GS, a couple of OS available.

Rare silentbob007 Posted February 14, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Summer generally won't see a lot of price drops until after final payment ... it's just too popular of time with school breaks and most ships in Europe.
