Thanks David for posting. I would love to be in St Petersburg again when the mamushkas waved us in to the secret room to see the gorgeous Cezanne on display. One room all to itself.

Sam,

Thank you for the link.

As I type this, it's Saturday afternoon here, we are 11 hours ahead of you, so will check the webcam again this evening.

Hi there,

You are welcome.

I have just found this link http://www.bay.tv/liverpool-bay-webcam,318

It is slightly clearer but not great due to the trees!

I have just been tracking the ship and she is docking but I didn't spot her sail past the webcam .

Just found another webcam http://www.wirralcam.org/mobile.shtml

Sam,

Is that the Liver Bird Building directly behind the ship?

(Many years since we have been to Liverpool)!

Hiya,

Yes it is the Liver Building , the other 2 of the 3 graces are also visible and also the tower of the anglican cathedral. Shame the weather is awful today for the folk on the ship.

You would see lots of changes in Liverpool now - for the better.

We live around 25 miles or so from there, further up the Lancashire coast.

Fab view of the Rotterdam isn't it, she looks wonderful with that backdrop.

I really hope we manage to catch her leaving port later :)

Sam :)

I understand that Liverpool has had lots of updating.

We were guests at the wedding of friends in the Anglican Cathedral on one of our visits.

Hope you get to see the Rotterdam departing today.

Hiya,

Yes it had a lot of regeneration especially for the Capital of Culture year and many of the beautiful buildings were also cleaned up from the soot etc that had ingrained itself on them.

The central shopping area too has been remodelled completely and is now a fabulous place to shop and dine and Liverpool finally has a great arena venue for concerts in addition to its great theatres.

Our friends who live in the south east love Liverpool and compare the buildings to those in London, they always ask to visit Liverpool when they are visiting us.

The Anglican Cathedral is beautiful isnt it? Stunning for a wedding.

The weather has brightened up now so hopefully all the passengers are having a really great day in Liverpool :D

:( I was hoping to get to see the Zuiderdam depart Vancouver this evening as my sister and BIL are leaving on their first Alaskan cruise (after having to cancel two years back due to health issues) but I see the North Van webcam is stuck at April 21/11, 8:12.

Not the end of the world though.....I'll catch 'em up in Juneau in a couple of days!

The northvancouver.com webcam is working, (the second webcam site posted above for Vancouver).

We were unable to make it to Liverpool today as we had unexpected visitors which altered our plans but was lovely.

However it would of been an awfully long wait to see the Rotterdam sail away as she is still docked in Liverpool and looking very pretty all lit up :D

I could of sworn she was due to sail at 5

Mind you, it isn't that far to her next stop tomorrow at Ilfracombe .

Thanks for sharing, samnewbie! Do you mind if I add your links to my list of cams for this daily posting? I'm not sure how often HAL ships visit, but it will be nice to see them when they do!
