glad you're enjoying him....we had him in 2012 on Brilliance out of Quebec City during the first year or so that he had been promoted to master and we never heard or saw him. Glad to hear he's settled in and is more outgoing now.

 

I believe Captain Henrik has been Master of Brilliance since mid 2010. He took over command again after the big storm from Captain Tengelsen:

Captains usually rotate 10 weeks on and 10 weeks off. That would make Captain Anderson on board until June 20th.

We're currently on Adventure. Capt. Henrik is a HOOT!

 

His Mid-Day announcements are not to be missed, with sound effects and port-related jokes. Tuesday before we departed he told us to fasten our seatbelts for takeoff...

 

We were on the same voyage and thought he was hilarious. Certainly the most engaging captain we've ever sailed with. I loved it the day (possibly St Kitts) when people were late arriving back to the ship and he came on and said "we are giving them a few more minutes and if they aren't back they'll be standing on the dock hearing this..." and proceeded to play the song, All By Myself. Quite funny in the moment. We found he did a lot of that all week. He really set a great tone for the cruise.

I know that but he has actually been on Anthem since Mid February (in command since April after handover) so we can expect a shorter rotation. I hoped that someone who has been on board in the last weeks provided some insight information....

That will certainly be a change to what he told us when we were on Allure in February.

I didn't mean to imply that he was considering it, I just wanted to let the questioner know that Johnny has been on Allure long enough to be eligible to be moved if he so desired. And I don't know who is going to relieve Capt Ban on Quantum in June...

He said he has no intention to leave Allure and will be on her in June/July in Europe.

 

Many experienced Captains do not like to go on any ship cruising in Asia. Captain Liz might be the choice for Quantum..

He's only having a short one!! Not sure if he left Adventure Saturday, 9th, or if it's next week. He's definitely then going straight to Quantum

William Wright brought Oasis out. If I remember correctly, he is an American but grew up in Norway. I believe he is no longer with the company.
