KentuckyKat Posted September 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2011 We are taking our children (17, 15, 11) on their first cruise in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS and I can't find my cruise packing list from our last cruise. (Computer crashed since then, but I thought I had hard-copy.) Can you please direct me to your favorite packing list? Thanks in advance!

MSRussell Posted September 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2011 There are always 'little' things that one doesn't think of to take that will make the cruise easier. Like a stupid little 'nail brush'. If I don't write it down, it won't get packed. I was able to cross it off for good, when i bought one and put it in my 'cruise kit'. To me, it is enjoyable a few weeks before my cruise to start making a list. And I still use the same one, cross off what I don't really need. Everyone prepares a trip differently. And 9 out of 10 cruisers will need a list. Melanie

waterpyro Posted September 27, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 27, 2011 So that you don't lose any docs like a packing list, Google makes it easy. Google Documents stores it online, saves VERY frequently, and overall has a nice word editor for basic things.

Thanks for all the suggestions! And Thanks BananaAnna - I didn't know that - I have now printed the lists posted above and will be checking things off. Kudos to all of you who don't needs lists, but if I did not give my children a list my DD would pack everything she owns and my DSs would take only the clothes on their back, their golf clubs and their video gaming equipment!!! gmros Posted September 30, 2011 #19 Share Posted September 30, 2011 I didn't have a packing list before, but I always end up regretting forgetting or not taking something with me so I created my own list. It doesn't hurt to be prepared. I created my own itinerary, budget and packing list spreadsheet that can be downloaded from my blog. And below is my general vacation packing list... Cruisin'Allie Posted August 10, 2013 #23 Share Posted August 10, 2013 I only make a list for stuff like chargers and extra batteries and of course my docs. Those I check off as I'm walking out the door. (Not having charger for my camera would ruin my cruise... :( ) My toiletries bag stays packed for the most part. Things I use everyday (that don't have a travel sized equivalent) get added to the bag about a week before and I put them right back in the bag when I've finished using them. That way it's easier for me to "guess" what I might use on the cruise (if I've used it recently)and it gets packed right away. Clothes I want to take get put into a reusable shopping bag as i think of them until I pull out my suitcase. (I don't have space to keep an open suitcase out to drop random things in) I still chronically overpack but I'm getting better! careycouponer Posted August 10, 2013 #25 Share Posted August 10, 2013 I like to have a packing list because I then throw it in my bag and make sure everything I brought comes home with me! Then I'm not scurrying around, trying to figure out if I've left a pair of shoes under the bed or dropped my sunglasses somewhere.
